Solar Chelsea to Arsenal??

I'm hearing Solar Chelsea has been bought out by Arsenal.. Puma gear coming soon in the near future.. Any truth to this?

Arsenal as in Arsenal FC England, or Arsenal as in the local, mostly boys club already here in Dallas? Either way, I haven't heard anything.

well it can't be bought out because Solar's connection to Chelsea is superficial at best. But I suppose there could be a solar switching to arsenal but haven't heard anything. I absolutely hate Chelsea so count me in full support of that.

I did see Arsène Wenger at Denny's this morning, so maybe so.

Kidding aside, if this is true I have to wonder how it really benefits any of the kids or families in the club. When my dd played for Solar/Chelsea years ago I saw no benefit. Yes, they sent a few low level academy coaches over to work with the girls for a week. They were fine, but for all the $ Chelsea rakes in you'd of thought they would have subsidized some of the uniform kit since they got lots of free advertising along with Samsung, now Yokohama.

When the Adidas/Chelsea deal began, Solar did receive cash annually from them. It wasn't a whole lot, in the big scheme of things, but Solar needed any cash they could come up with. Certainly none of it went to subsidize uniform kits for the players.
I don't know if it's still the case, but that's how it started.
