A soccer parent appeared in Dallas County court charged with disorderly conduct and assault. The arresting officer stated that the accused had thrown something into the landfill behind the Lewisville Railroad fields.
Judge: "What exactly did the accused throw?"
Officer: "Stones, sir."
Judge: "Well, that's hardly an offense is it?"
Officer: It was in this case, sir. Stones was the field referee at his daughter’s game."

After reviewing the defendant's video evidence of the game, the Judge dismissed the charges. In his final ruling statement the Judge said, "the defendant has offered a community service by disposing of garbage in it's proper place". "Case dismissed".
