GSSC Thunder Royal '08 Girls (Southlake, Grapevine & Surr.)

GSSC Thunder Royal '08 Girls - Khan is holding open practices in Southlake and Grapevine. Looking for dedicated, coachable girls to join a thriving team.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with GSSC Thunder, following is information on our team and coach. Our head coach is Amir Khan. Although our Coach Amir emphasize that practice is time to work, he encourages the girls to view their team as a fun, social outlet. The team organizes parties and activities on a regular basis to allow the girls to bond off the field.

Coach Amir played soccer for Hofstra University (Division I) in Hempstead NY, as well as the University of the Philippines Los Banos Varsity Soccer Team. He played club Soccer for the Long Island Soccer Football Association, and was selected to their U-23 All Star team in 1989. He also played for UPLB in the Philippines “Premier” League, alongside several of the Philippine National Team members. In 1984, he represented the UPLB Football Club in an international friendly game against the visiting German Bundesliga team. Although not a Philippine citizen, he was given the unique opportunity to train and practice with the Philippine National Team at the National Training Center in Los Banos, Philippines.

Coach Amir holds NSCAA State (Youth Level II), Advanced Regional (Junior Level VI), National and Advanced National Diplomas.

In addition, GSSC offers some of the most competitive Academy fees in the area. Academy fees for the 2015-2016 season were $440, with an additional $150 for the uniform/bag kit.
