This past weekend, our Kernow Storm '05 Girls were able to stay organized, keep great possession, pressure the opposing teams in the final third to Dribble mistakes on their behalf and recovery when counters were attempted. All of our hard work, training, and conditioning showed well this weekend as the humidity and temperatures were higher than what we've seen this year. The heart of that these players showed this weekend is enormous. Playing with only two subs for the entirety of the tournament, they never gave up or let off. Final game was one for the books. 0-0 after regulation, 0-0 after two 10 min overtimes, barely missing on three shots. and then winning in the shoot out. I would have preferred the girls win in the course of the game itself, but they had what it took to finish.
