With the age pure mix up a question has been raised and i am the appointed to ask. If you dont want to pay 2900++++ for the big name select teams. Where does your kid play when they get to be 16 years old? Rec teams are pretty much non-existent because big clubs have laughed them out of rec and either into another sport or into club. These girls are good and enjoy the game but realize that academics are more important and will get them farther in life. So what about those girls who just really want to play for the game alone and not for the drama and certainly do not have the money for the big clubs or their parents dont want to shell it out when it can go toward college, etc.

There are plenty of clubs that offer competitive play, quality coaching, and skills development without the big 5 club price. Check out the teams in Plano Premier League and the Arlington Premier League. I think you'll find the right team at an affordable price.

Fees are 1/3 to 1/2 the other clubs. Many girls come of LH and want to have fun again.

Frisco Fusion 00G will be moving to the 99G age group. Players wishing to see what our club is about are welcome at any practice during this open practice period.

Practices are held in Frisco on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00pm

For more information contact

there are lots of great SMALL clubs (i think you really answered your own question). something like Thunder FC which is Grapevine Southlake Soccer- great facilities, centrally located, and some competitive teams. i believe their dues are just over $1800 this year with no fundraisers. Evolution i think is the Colleyville club very similar.

I have never thought of Select Soccer as an "either/or" proposition when it comes to academics and playing.  If anything, one motivates the other.   If DD doesn't have excellent grades, she doesn't play.   I think the combination of academics and the life lessons taught through soccer (relationship building, team building, competitive IQ, emotional IQ, mental and physical hard work) will get them "Farther in life".

If you have been "appointed", I assume you have a list of other players, use it to create the foundation for a team that is independent and minimal fees.   At this age the girls can almost coach themselves (witness most JV and Freshmen High school sidelines).   You could end up putting something exciting, and memorable together.

What was the name of that one team: the Purple Princess Warriors?.....

Here is the thread referencing a team that did exactly what you seem to be looking for:
