Re: Is It To Late?
A competitive (select) player is obligated to his competitive team for the soccer-playing year for competitive players from the time he signs a contract until the end of the subsequent soccer playing year (August 1 of the prior soccer year through June 30 of the current soccer year).
Whatever that means? Says it is when you sign, then gives Aug 1 - June 30 as dates. Ask NTSSA, talking is free.

Re: Is It To Late?
I know my DDs squad up until signing day was heavy on the young side and is now an even split. But still heavy on the middle of the year to late in the year birthdates.

Your options are... 1. Get released from your NTX select contract and be allowed to play for your local rec association. They won't let you join another NTX select team. 2. Walk away from this team and NTX to join a team who only plays indoor soccer or plays in Primetime's 06 outdoor league.

Unless she signed to a JDL team, in which case they signed her to US Club and USYS rosters... leaving nowhere to go but Rec or indoor/futsal.

Re: Is It To Late?
A release to rec gives you quite a bit more than just playing with rec teams. You can practice with anybody without coaches releases. You can also play tournaments with any competitive team without a release. I knew a girl that did this all season last year.RunningWithScissors wrote:Your options are... 1. Re: Is It To Late?
1) If you haven't already, talk to the coach/club. If they haven't submitted the paperwork to register the team roster with an NTSSA member association yet, you may just be able to get them to tear everything up.
2) Call NTSSA. They will generally be very helpful at explaining your options.
3) Try PM'ing Blank77. Don't know how often he comes on here these days, but I want to say that he went through something similar with his DD and I believe there were some options.
4) Everything above only relates to the NTSSA competitive roster status for your DD, and whether or not she will be allowed to sign/play with another competitive team. Separately, you likely also signed some sort of financial agreement with the team/club. That is a completely separate agreement that NTSSA will NOT get involved in, and you will have to figure out how to resolve that separately with the team/club.
