Shot out to the NTX coaches...

Who try and hurt parents by hurting the players...
That threaten the parents with exile from the club for seeking better accommodations for their kid...
That think soccer stops when they say so....
That are all about a dollar and a win, in that order....
Sowing and reaping is real!!!

Keep the faith parents...you know who has the final say in your DD's future.

Their has to be more to this story. Please let us know what is up.

Assumed it was just another new parent learning the hard lesson that it is not 'Really about the kids'.

Though there is usually an interesting story of how it played out behind each example.

I really believe there should be more rules and guideline for coaches and parents implemented by NTX.

I know parents who do not take family vacations, or even staycations, during the summer (or any other time that kids are off), because they are too afraid that if they do, the coach will take it out on their daughter, and she will find herself on the bench for many games.

Considering the number of games and brutal temps, some bench time isn't so bad.

I've experienced such!! I would also question the club that actually honors the coaches threat. Needs to be some quality assurance going on, no accountability. But then again these coaches don't care about each other for the most part that are in the same club and will take that player if she or he is talented enough. I know a coach that has separation issues.

I find this statement funny! Being on a select team is like dating and signing a marriage license soon after. Even when you guest play with a team the coach is wining and dinning you making you feel like your daughter is what the team has been missing. You don't really get to know the true coach until you sign. If they fool you once then shame on them and if they fool you twice its all on you!

I, too, know many folks who live in this kind of fear. I will tell you that I've never once considered not taking a vacation because my daughter/son might get benched. At least the coaches I've been associated with have never even once that play time is related to a family vacation. Sure, you need to make every effort to be at practices, but a family vacation or two has never been an issue. In fact, his reply to me has always been, "Have a fun and safe trip." My daughter has always started and played the entire game. If your coach is not showing evidence of that, then you probably need a new coach cuz that is absurd for this age. MAYBE it is realistic at a certain level, but at 12?? Sheesh, It's not the USWNT....
