FCD, Solar, Texans, Sting will have GDA teams.

I know that FCD and Solar will form DA2 teams for each age group as well ... not sure about the other two --

They will be forming DA 2 teams because they currently have not been excepted into ECNL. It seems they must play their way in?

Based on the ECNL probation parameters, the big 4 should all qualify to retain the ECNL distinction next year. However ... I'm not sure how long those clubs will care to hold onto ECNL anyway with the onset of DA2.

Exactly.

Will be interesting to see the ones that drop DA and try to keep ECNL propped up as the best pathway for their athletes. I can foresee a club trying to monopolize on the fact that they STILL have ECNL. Long term it will be an effort in futility, but may keep them relevant for a few years. A fight against USSF is rarely a successful one.

Everybody loves being on the B team (DA2) so ECNL will be OK for about the next 3 years.  But then the DA pressure will set in.  Buckle up!

Inside info or speculation?  I'm sure DDs will move there, but they have a lot of recruiting to do.  Per Youth Soccer Rankings, they only have 3 06 teams, 4 05 teams, and 3 04 teams.  And that's without any commentary on the level of those teams.
