Re: LH standings
I've only seen like two of their games and from I can tell, he has a couple good defenders and a couple good midfielders that play in the center area. That's really it. Can anyone point out any other talent on that team that stands out? Hahaha.
You are obviously right about the schedule being lighter but then everyone plays the same teams so where you end up is where you end up. You know more about this group than me, I'm just talkin cuz we'll, it's more fun than not talkin.!

Penn definitely has some talent. No doubt. After 19 games they should be #4. Could they be higher? No not even close. Lower? Yes that's what everybody thought and they surprised us all. Except for a few. Good for them. Kudos to those girls.skiberdad wrote:I'll give you that. He needs some players. But I think that's even a better point. I see peeps on here talking about how all these teams that are behind Penn with one or two star players. Who does he have? Lol

To compete they will need to be deeper in all positions. Bench is not as strong as it could be.

I've been called a "hater" for my view on JM, but I guess I was right.
Just thinking about the big matchup on Sunday: God forbid it ends in a draw. I'd hate to be the teams left on those schedules. Grand Champion will be determined by goal differential? Yikes!

I have to disagree skiberdad. We have played Fever a couple times and I have caught some game time waiting for my DD games. Midfield seems to be their biggest weakness and occasionally the defense getting beat. Midfields have trouble distributing the ball and feeding with power and effectiveness. Fever team beat my DD team in Fall Festival and forward/s were really good and skilled. Also, played well in LH regular season game. My guess is they get limited scoring opportunities or Fever could be more challenging on Elite. I have also been impressed with the Goalie. She has kept the team in games when defense struggles to clear the ball.

Thanks for the insight. What game(s)? And will Sting West have guest players?

I haven't weighed in on the style of play or anointing of Penn as the best coach in all of Texas. From what I've seen, the style is not that great and relies on whether the breakaways happen and are finished. But they win...

Ok. To all who play Sting West going forward, check the roster . . . and the solo cups.

That's why everyone gets an opinion on here!
But I will point out that they have scored the 4th highest number of goals and they're in 4th so I'm not sure how they have "limited" scoring opportunities. They've scored basically the number you'd expect. I'm not sure a couple forwards do that in their own. I would bet they have someone passing to them.
but as I've said, everyone gets an opinion. Thanks for giving yours.

My apologies in advance to all for feeding the Sting West troll.
Why don't you ever speak with any substance other than when you discuss your DD's domination of NTX ODP?

Wonder if we could get a coach on here to comment on what they see as strengths weaknesses i teams. Be much more enlightening than us dads that really have no clue other than what we hear on Premier League broadcasts... lol

I'd be happy to help...coach sue here. I've had the pleasure of winning several u4 championships in flower mound and I think you guys are headed in the right direction. My sassy cats have dominated for years in fm. You've probably heard of them. They're a household name in fm.
