Wasn't this the team that was supposedly #2 in NTX a few weeks ago?

It was surprising to see that an 04G JDL team struggled against a solid D2 team, then lost to a strong D1 team.

Onward to DA!

There was a lot of interest in this tournament based on the PMs I had sitting in my inbox this morning.  It sounds like a good number of disinterested people went out to watch FCD 04 JDL Blue play Dallas Rush in the final of the u13 group and FCD 04 JDL Red play in the final of the u14 group.  That will happen when 3 of the top 5 teams in the age group are not allowed to play in DIGC and have to find another place to play.

The match up came together for the final even with the JDL Blue draw with Sparta.  It sounds like it was a fun game to watch and strong win by Dallas Rush.  That is a nice momentum builder after the announcement of moving to D'Feeters and ECNL.

FCD 04 JDL Red fought off a tough LP Owen 03 team but took care of business in the end.  It is always good for a team to take home a big trophy.

I guess if that makes u feel good winning that tournament but i dont think that LP Owen had a shot of win in DIGC 03s group don't know why rush or FCD red/blue jdl" didn't play in the DIGC must of see who was coming to play and then want to go against them

As has been discussed multiple times in multiple threads ...

The 04 FCD Red, Blue and Rush teams all applied for the DIGC 5-6 weeks prior to the posted deadline but were not permitted to participate.

Don't know why if they had FCD teams in the 05/03/02/01 playing & rush team in the 04 were they just afraid of the competition

Because the club doesn't register the teams -- it's done at the team level.  I'd guess those respective team managers figured 5-6 weeks prior to posted deadline is a decent time to register for a tournament.

Speaking for LW's teams only ... tough to figure he'd be afraid of the comp considering his teams have beaten every local team participating in the 04 group at DIGC.  Also won top tourneys in Las Vegas, Denver, St Louis and Chicago against top comp across the country the past couple of years.  

Any good coach (LW or GV) isn't going to shy away from playing top comp just because they might lose ... If anything, they take advantage of tough losses by finding 'teachable moments' and/or using them for motivation.

4 years ago you may have had the activity you are looking for as far as the forum goes.

Bruh...as time passes you'll see. There are no more rivals/rivalries at this level at this point in time. Just enjoy the weather and atmosphere and please believe that in order to be entertained at your daughters games....she will have to be in ECNL or DA, there will be no more competition below that.
