DA1/DA2

Question since California is incorporating DA1 and DA2...is that really why it's being pitched as DA/ECNL versus what the inevitable goal...from what the CA FC are doing they are going this route..I don't see them being in ECNL if your 2 top teams are DA?

For a guy who is content to stay in LH, you sure do seem to care about all this.

DA1 DA 2 seems logical..ECNL 2nd Tier and likely moving away from just like the clubs in Cali

My interpretation of BBB's hostility toward ECNL was when he didn't think he could afford it for his daughter. Now that he understands that it'll be about the same travel costs as LH it's all good and just trying to get his head around how it'll all shake out for everybody and trying to help everybody understand how it'll all shake out. Nothing wrong with human nature.

I am just asking the question about DA1 and DA2 if this is sooner than later...will these clubs be able to field teams viable for ECNL? The Cali clubs are either merging to support both or going strictly DA w this migration. I just want to know the plans here locally.

What's being communicated at these tryouts to the potential kids and parents are they being told they are getting spots for DA or ECNL it's 2 different organizations and what about the existing teams where do they stand? Will there be pooled training and a fair shake or do all the new players go to ECNL if the team makes. I think these are all good questions since DA will be 2 teams more than likely based on the direction elsewhere...

If DA "is It" why did Sting pull out? Sting started the whole girls club soccer movement in Texas if memory serves.. DA is nothing but a power trip and money grab to take away what ECNL built for girls to have an opportunity.. If ECNl is so bad why is it that Mal Pugh is so good and is the future of USWNT?

It's all money grab...the only thing that scares them all even more so Sting is that they can't rely on the 18 man roster w teams of 12-14 players and putting the rest of their LH squads w/ their ECNL pool..the rest relay on CPP.

At the end if the day the money Rules and it is a business don't fool yourselves. Zizou gets paid.

Zizou and BigEm will continue marketing the pitch for whoever pays their bills on all the threads on all age groups and how great the xoaches are and how they want to develop your kids blah blah blah...theres so much Scholly money flying around in the pipe dreams.

It's going to be hard to fill both the ECNL and DA and have quality teams in all leagues it's already happening elsewhere. IF we can get outside the bubble and lack of development of the majority we might be able to have an impact instead of too many kids sitting on the bench for only some to play all the time. Let's have more players from NTX succeed and improve as a whole to play in college. The trend is one or the other at this point for DA and ECNL in the other US markets. It's not going to be any different here.

How is DA a money grab? Eventually some 69 women players at each age group will not pay club fees and uniform cost.

Don't worry Zizou you will still get your paycheck...I don't see alot changing so don't worry you can still eat your chilli dogs at the games. The Big Clubs have rigged the system for years and we keep paying...you don't have to cry this morning Zizou it will be ok...the DA won't hurt you too bad...just take away some of the LH money...

So, what is this? I wish posters (coaches?) on this forum would be honest and forthcoming. What ARE parents being told? I as a parent was told that there would be 1 DA team and 1 ECNL club per team. Is that now changing? If so, why at this late date? My DD WANTS to play high school soccer, so DA is not for her. But if ENCL is going away, that makes the decision a tough one......
