Alright that's better if they're 8. I thought I stumbled across an intense ecnl thread. But at least some of the kids are in 3rd grade. Carry on.

Nope...2nd grade tops..some 1st.

Never to early to think about a DA team/club.

Last time I checked, we are all on kid's soccer message board b/c we all pay way too much money for our kids to play a game. This same message board posts a ranking of 8 yr old teams in North Texas. But hey, I'll be sure to check in with y'all when it's appropriate to have more interesting soccer talk on the boards. Maybe in 2 years when the silly '09 parents pay $3k+ for our 10 year old to sign a contract with a club? It's obvious all of us lose our minds long before we get to ECNL. Might as well embrace it.

Ohhh I'm having fun with you...but when you think about their age it is funny. This age used to be rec until the clubs got their claws in the pocket.

I totally agree... when I was a kid, you played rec all the way up until Select tryouts and Select started a year later than it does now. It blew me away when I saw what it has become. We are in complete agreement on that, for sure.

Well I just hope when August comes along, all the best teams are in one league. I believe Prime Time Gold was definitely the best league for the 09 girls group. We will all get better if we keep playing better teams.

Good point. 3rd grade is where the rubber meets the road. Futures will be decided.

You're probably right the more I think about it. These poor kids didn't have parents with enough sense to get them going in pre school. It's probably too late for a Change to volleyball also.

And what a change. Besides allowing no tryouts/recruiting until U11/U12, boys classic allowed only 8 teams in, at U12, U14, U16 and U19, no second divisions. Girls Classic was more lenient, primarily because of fewer teams. Everyone else went off to Plano Premier. But then along came a Plano organization outside the Federation control, allowing recruiting at U8 and North Texas Soccer Association lost control of the situation.
