07 FBR 06-20-17

Updated 07 FBR as of 6/20/17. Only 07 teams with 3 or more games played since 2/13/17 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U10 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  07 vs 07 games in U11 division are also now included.  The crazy AP switch is behind us, so 07 teams playing up have been playing as pure 07s.  IF FBR07 gets wind an 07 team plays with 06s on their roster, that specific game or potentially all of those games in higher division will be removed for that team.

Following BWG's prior precedent, games will no longer be removed.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result(if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  While BWGophers consults, advises and offers technical advice, this FBR is the sole representation of FBR07,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR07.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

I was poking around the forum looking for something in the last week, dont remember what.  I saw one of BWG's FBR's from June two years ago.  I noticed he stopped removing games on 2/1/15 for the 05s.  It was an oops moment.  I haven't reached out to BW in the last couple weeks, no real FBR issues to discuss, just me entering scores and publishing.  So I was unaware he stopped removing games.  I am now aware, and not removing older games, but I'm not adding the 1st 2 weekends of Feb back in.  Little benefit for the effort required.

Typically, I would start removing games along the lines of the standard 16-week playing history (i.e. last 16 weeks in which league and/or tournament games were played), such that by the time QT rolled around, the final FBR would contains games from April-July.

Looking back through my data for the '05's, it looks like a couple of the big tournament weekends at the end of May got rained out that year, so I was missing a bunch of games that I would normally have had in the database, and therefore, I made a decision to keep everything from Feb. 1st forward that year (essentially Spring League + Post-Spring tournament games).

It's up to FBR07 to decide if keeping games going back to Feb 1st, April 1st, or some other date is most appropriate for this year.
