Thank you. I had no idea that was a single game. I would hate to waz her off.. I am a pretty good size dude and I am afraid she would kick my arse. Wonder if her BF/GF broke up with her or something b4 the game or if she received her mid term exam results or something.. Whatever it was, she was focused on destruction that day.

Watched KW team yesterday and WOW body before ball is the rule!!!!! 2 yellows in one game. The parents were even worse. I am guessing THUGANOMICS is tought over any foot skill. There were multiple closed fist swings and even a kick to a girl that was already on the ground. Shameful.

This has been going on for years, same style of dirty play.....nothing new. Now the club zealots will come on and call you out for having the nerve to point it out. Cue Big e.....and yes it's very shameful and disgusting.

It certainly seems the "body before ball" tactic is taught by some coaches. And, it's hard not to notice when it's the same coaches/teams time after time. It's extra frustrating that so many youth refs in our North Texas leagues let a lot of it go. But, you won't see that when you tune into EPL matches on NBC on weekend mornings. Seems counter intuitive to me to let young DDs get away with it when the top professional players do not. Yet, we see it week after week, which is I guess why some coaches continue teaching it and the players keep doing it. Until the reffing is more consistent, it seems there's limited downside to their dirty play.

Always assumed it was simple economics driving how the games are called.

If the games are called tighter to encourage more technical development vs physical aggression, many of the aggressive players with limited skills or the desire to play a more technical game would become frustrated and leave the sport thus reducing the revenue in the 8-15 age groups.

Physical play at the expense of technical focus helps keep the $ flowing.

Coaches' reputations are generally well earned.

When a coach produces teams / players year after year that play excessively physical / dirty soccer, there is only one consistent factor.

Though I can't see how referees are not calling it tight in order to protect the club's pocketbook.
