The '06s definitely are a good group of talented young ladies, but there is no way a pure top '06 team beats a pure top '05 team with equal soccer knowledge. They can't overcome the difference in size/strength/speed no matter how athletic they are. When a forward has 3 steps in speed and 20/40 lbs on a defender, the forward is gonna win 9 out of 10. Just guessing here but I don't think 06South beats 05South on a regular basis

And no doubt Sal ate his pie off a big a$$ '05 PLD Gold medal while calculating his gotsoccer points.

SB played the highest level of 06 9v9 offered in PLD...if that is hiding then I guess it is what it is.

No big deal that DTS 06 won in the Gold Division. Most of the TOP 05 teams did not play in this tourney. So basically, they won with ringers against what in any other tourney would be the silver division.

Same team ... The 05 Selecao team from last year is now the 05 DFeeters ECNL team. D'feeters/Kicks now train exclusively in pools of kids that may play in ECNL, JDL, or LHGCL games each weekend -- many aren't notified of which team they'll play with until late in the week.

In last weekend's case, I'd assume that they stacked the roster with mostly ECNL players (since they were off) to try to win the tourney and would have regardless of who they thought they may or may not face.

Sting Black all along has stated they would be sticking to small sided 9v9. DTS has stated all along that they will be playing up in 05 land as an 11v11 team.

However, I find it curious that DTS needs to bring players in vs. winning on their own in PLD. What's the point in playing up, if every tournament you bring girls in to help you win? Help me understand that and more importantly help the dts players that lost starting jobs for the event to understand what was the point besides winning a trophy. How and why do you even start those 05 ECNL players vs. your normal starters (guests shouldn't start even if they are better than your starters)? IMO, That's one of many ways you can break up a team over time. The point is that Sal and the club and some of the dts parents are lost in a world of points, trophy's, and rankings. Plain and simple. It is a growing problem in the North Texas Soccer world.

DTS would have a tough time winning PLD if it was just their 06 girls and wouldn't have stood a chance if SB decided to play up in the event (but they at least SB stuck to what they said they were going to do). It is common knowledge that in the past 12 months that DTS avoided SB at all costs even jumping into LH to avoid playing SB, but they could however, get points for LH wins and finishing at the top of that division (see also Orlando, DTSC, Tulsa tourneys to just name a few)

And yes, DTS 06 did get points for winning PLD 2017 in the 05 gold division.

Blind squirrel theory. Ask how many JDL games they won against SB and that was before losing their best player (then team completely left JDL 9v9 for LH?...that doesn't make any sense...leave better competition for what? We all know the answer...their lovely points) DTS is now 1-9 against SB in last 24 months.

Never heard of the "blind squirrel theory." Please explain. In any event, just looked at history and posted last result.

They didn't leave JDL for LH (they were already in LH), but instead went to 05 JDL, where they handled themselves quite well.

As if those teams I'm referring to aren't bonding and having fun with their teammates just the same (if not more given the significant time on the road with team) as those that still play in PLD or LH.

And as if those players that have been given the opportunity to play on the teams I'm referring to don't have a better shot at achieving their goals of playing soccer in college due to the decision that they've made to do so.

Surely you'd disagree that achieving those goals are the pinnacle of, well ... "nothing really" -- right?

Keep fighting the fight ern. I think the idea of DA is great but I also think ecnl was already serving the same purpose. It's the rest of the mess that's been created...jdl..composite etc. no reason for any of it and I think it dilutes talent and coaching more than the previous set up. So keep mindlessly plugging the info you pick up from the bigs. I'm sure the crowds at jdl games are HUGE also.
