Would rather make a single 2 1/2 hour car ride from KC to Omaha once.a year than have to play FCKC again.

I mean if they really wanted to add a club from Nebraska you would think they would at least select the top club in the state, Elite.
I know nothing about Nebraska soccer, but YSR would say both Elite and Sporting are the two best clubs in the state with the edge going to Sporting.
But landing a DA spot is at least as much about coaching and infrastructure than it is about winning. I assume Sporting ticked more boxes. Gotta think Sporting will pick up the cream of Elite players now, which will make them stronger.
And Sporting appears to be a significant upgrade over FCKC.

Did you not play well in that game?

I'm sure you're right, DA would only pick the correct club with the most money, so the other club could send their players over....nevermind strength of coaching or track record. Thank goodness you checked with Bige before posting this. Trust in the soccer powers my friend, they always make the right decisions for the kids.

I'm not following. You think US Soccer adds a secret "most money" qualification over infrastructure, coaching, and history of player development when approving applications? Or you think that top players from Elite won't want to research switching clubs to be involved in a local GDA program?

Why? DA should be cheaper than what you are paying now.

Re: Announcing New Club Invites
If DA is moving toward letting clubs “do their own finances” we will have DA with double fees shortly.OkieEnergyDad wrote:I thought each club handles the DA finances in their own way. We aren't a big club with big $ sponsors. I'm assuming my cost will go up. I would love for it to go down, but I will believe that when i see it.

Don't be such an ASSHAT!
Just because your FC Dallas club fees went down "significantly" does NOT mean everyone else's did. Quit being such a pompous prick and recognize that everyone's experience does not mirror yours. (I will let you in on a little secret - not all DA teams dues went down significantly).
You are starting to sound like BigE. You 2 are made for each other.

Actually, as I understand it, you've got some especially deep pocketed oil types backing you....You guys are actually going to be one of the few DA clubs that actually DON'T have their DA players pay any $$$...that's my strong bet.
As far as Celtic/ECNL, that's gotta chap....Masterstroke by ECNL, though. Who knows how it'll all shake out...just glad that we're on the east side of the state and mostly insulated! It's gonna be a battle royal for the pool of talent in metro OKC area...Southlakes doomed, sadly....Hope I'm wrong...
