Just curious. What constitutes Top 20 for you at U9?

Just to clear the air, no one is bragging. It’s called excited to see the youth excel and proud of the youths hard work. It’s called goal setting and achieving. Now, being that it’s this teams first season together as a new team, yes I would say the proper tactical move would not be Platinum division. (Not Bronze either, but not Platinum) Without the bonding and semi chemistry, then why would you throw the team into an unrealistic scenario for unpredictable growth?

But then again, what would I know... I’m just a coach. Parents living behind the alias and down playing our youth for your satisfaction of someone else’s failure amazes me. The critics on the outside will always prevail one way or another in their “THIS IS SPARTA” mentality over 8yr old soccer.

Good luck to you, and I’m all ears for any ideas you may have. I love getting advice from someone who has it all figured out.

Especially someone who just joined today and attacked directly, lol. The source is very obvious.

I had heard about this forum and was looking for a team. Don’t consider direct attack when your the one who said would be top 20 in a season, and someone else mentioned you were playing lower brackets, re-read the thread... I have a 10 DD, and came across your post many xs, so I did my research like any concerned parent does...saw you are fairly new to the club, and came from FC Dallas? Just curios, what happened there?

I have a DD 10 and 11 and WOW after I did my research....

We left Sting when our coach moved clubs for reasons already listed in this thread. Honestly, I do not care what club my kids play for as long as we have a coach and team that is the right fit for them. Sting was just fine as far as I knew. No complaints at all.
And good for Saldivar for being excited for his team and hopeful for continued success.

Word on the fields from a parent friend was that they were never actually FC Dallas. Parents got lied to and truth came out. Yikes.

Back in the day Sting was the team to be on. yes the soccer world is small and you hear good and bad things about coaches all the time. I heard bad thing about Sting Dallas PS. I'm surprise such a big club would bring him on?

How do the ranking work if you don't play top teams how do you move up so fast. GL Sting
