Playoffs coming...

Anyone follow the HS scene, or is everyone left here a DA parent whose kids can't play HS? Looks like some local teams have a real shot to win it all in 6A and 5A

Local 6A Threats: Allen, Southlake Carroll, Mansfield, FM Marcus
Local 5A Threats: Highland Park, Prosper, Frisco Wakeland, Grapevine, Birdville

Foxy is rolling with Allen and Prosper.

Southlake, Allen, & Marcus are a cut above in 6A. If the first 2 rounds of the playoffs go chalk, you’ll have Southlake v Allen in Round 3, which is a shame, as it’s possible those are the 2 best teams in the State.

Southlake and Marcus were a little more battle tested in district play. The top 6 teams in 5-6A are all legit. After Allen, 6-6A is down a bit compared to last year. Allen will get Byron Nelson, Flower Mound, or Hebron in Round 1, and they can’t sleep on any of those teams. Southlake and Marcus will have Plano, McBoyd, or Plano West in Round 1. Don’t see any of those teams giving Southlake or Marcus too much difficulty.

Wakeland's path has been a tough one. They have eliminated some good teams in thier run.

I watched the wakeland Joshua game. Interesting that in a very windy game all 4 goals were scored against the wind.

Flower Mound vs. Allen.. FM took it to the big bad Eagles. Will be a tough match vs. katy Cinco Ranch. Have a friend who's DD plays on that team.. that team is no joke.

Not surprised at all by that result. Said it earlier in this thread that Southlake, Allen, and Marcus were a cut above the rest, so it's no surprise that one of those 3 is moving on out of Region 1, and that two of those 3 were playing in the Region 1 final.

Cinco Ranch absolutely laid waste to the rest of Region 3 (25-1 GD in 5 playoff games ). It will be interesting to see how they match up with Marcus in the semis.

Macho Man school ball is about the only team environment left in NTX. Soak it all up.

Marcus up over Cinco Ranch, 1-0, in the 2nd minute of play.

Saw Memorial vs McAllen earlier, Memorial 2-0. I’m thinking the Marcus/Cinco Ranch winner is going to take it all.

1-1 at 5 mins. Cinco Ranch looks like the real deal.

I live in Cinco. What club do a lot of these Marcus girls play for?

No clue, but if they’re like my daughters team then they probably cover the gamut. Very good game huh?

Most are Dfeeters and Texans ECNL players
