The rules allow it so more power to them, just don’t pretend like you aren’t. Preciate ya though!
I dont need to defend a team that has played hard all year.... but I will.
This squad only had 4 players on it that were here last year. GK, a defender, a mid, and a forward... every other player is new to the team including one that came straight from rec... they have played hard and well over the season but struggled as a new team would against established squads.
That said with the exception of one match in the fall they were in every match. The loss against Covey in the fall you want to harp on... feet led nearly the entire match 1-0... with putting literally 4 off the post inside the first 10 minutes of the match... could have been a route for feet in the first match... their target forward got two late late in the match, one on a foul kick that won it for them... I have the video if you care to watch it... so not a stretch that a squad dropped 6 on them, and i do not mean that as a knock....
5 of the 6 goals were scored by Angells players. Great game from those two.. one having a hat trick.
one or two players can make a huge difference in small sided play.. 11v11 is a different story....
solar brought in their own CPP, LP elite was set to use two CPP...
its part of the game now.... oh well.
Its been a fun season... I know my little 06 and the other three on this squad benefited greatly playing up this season... .

I second that. Tis the season for CPP, especially now with Byes on the line.

Color me skeptical. But it sounds like this team has struggled to keep up in D1. So why not let them be relegated to a lower division that probably better suits the team's skill level? Or, if they are truly developing, fight on their own to remain in D1. But instead, you bring in ringers to win games and avoid relegation?AtThePitch wrote:ColtMcVince wrote:Thanks Tatonka. And it's hard to argue that 1 or 2 don't make a difference, when clearly they have,...TWICE. But as you stated, it's part of the game. And it's here to stay. It does make for good forum debate so please continue.

Actually Delta said he didn’t feel as if RA would use CPP given the fact that isn’t how he rolls. Not that RA doesn’t ever use them and wouldn’t. So....ColtMcVince wrote:Thanks Tatonka. I was going to just lurk and not post, but I do have to comment on this. This squad is the result of two squads coming together. So the old Feet/Kicks team brought 4, I guess. By my count, there are at least 6, and maybe another 2 (not sure about their actual name vs nickname) from RA's team from last year, so yes, there is the factor of the girls getting used to each other and coming together, but to put it the way you have is misrepresenting things.
Honestly, we had a good-not-great experience with RA's team. I would not discourage anyone from playing for him, but I would also not discourage anyone from looking around either.
As far as CPP, I find it amusing that so many people have such strong opinions on it. It's everywhere, and it's not going to change. Someone said specific Solar teams don't do it, but the ones I think they were talking about definitely do. If I have the wrong teams in mind there, sorry for the mistake.

Regarding the other team from Solar. I can’t comment with any confidence. I assumed not Bc of their results and not sure where the players would come from.

Not 1 player all year including the state cup (with the exception of a backup goalie that was added for emergency purposes only) where it seems teams playing in it resemble the team that played in the league by name only. It’s allowed so it is what it is.
