Tatu Takes Over Younger Sting Age Group

Tatu just took over an '07 Sting group. What are everyone's thoughts on that? Will his name attract enough talent to help Sting re-establish strength in the age group? Will he save the team from being relegated to D3? Will he get a solid group together before taking them ECNL?

Rumor mill says there is a level of happiness with him, but I do not believe he has given the girls the full Tatu experience yet though.  Guess he brought some CPPs from Heinz this past weekend and a few weren't happy.   No red cards from Heinz girls, but they weren't playing the White Walkers either.

I think the parents were just happy for any change to try to stop the free fall. But I suspect many of them won't be on that team next year (how many do they need to keep to retain their seeding at LH?). Sting desperately wants a better team in '07 than they currently have -- a team that can compete in DI and JDL (and eventually ECNL). The Tatu team is a great start - some talent on that team -- but Sting will take from Parsons or Heinz and outside the system to create the best possible. Some current players will get to see the process from the bench.

Mariscal taking over Webb's group. Hear a few more changes coming in this age group as well.

Can anyone from the white walker camp confirm that Mariscal is taking over the team at the end of the year? I had heard a while back that Webb and Nguyen were both going to be taken over. Maybe Nguyen will try to keep the girls herself and head to a different club if FCD is trying to Dribble her to hand them over. Sting needs a strong ‘07 group.

I was at the 06-07 FCD parent meeting and heard firsthand that Dan M will be the coach of FCD's top 07 "Pre academy" team next year.
However, KW will still have an 07 JDL team so the big question is how many of her White Walkers will go to the new Mariscal Pre academy team and how many will stay with her...she does seem to have a following of sorts. I think their hope is to take the top 07 players from inside the club, regardless of team, and then fill up the open spots at open tryouts next month.
I understood Dan will begin integrating in the 07 practices immediately, but I could be wrong, I was more interested in the 06 information, which was great. Confirmed DA and DP leagues for 06s next year!

What is the DP league? The DA2 everyone is talking about?

DPL will mirror the DA: practices, coaching staff and games against the other DA clubs' DP teams in our conference. DP will allow outside sports & more importantly, allow the DP players to play on other teams in the club.

It's about time someone realized another league was needed.

And a few SRSA kids are targets. Will solar allow 3 or 4 to play up in 06, could mean a migration for rest to FCD or other teams. Some strong willed parents to contend with.

Will be fun from here to July 1!

And how will the formation of the official Give and Go team affect all of that? A few girls from SRSA, a couple from KW, a couple from Feet. Could be a big shake up.

I've been asking around though & it seems the other DA clubs have not made any announcements yet

How do you have open tryouts next month with players under contract? I thought you had to wait till July?

Girls are allowed to check out other teams anytime after state cup which is mid May.
