So, don’t be coy or hide behind the log. Answer the following questions if you actually know:
1. Are FCD and Solar doing GDA and ECNL at all ages?
2. What are the Texans doing? GDA or ECNL? Or both?
3. Are Texans 06s and 05s going to keep their best teams in ECNL? Or headed to GDA?
4. Is Sting going to put their 06s (or most of them) with 05s, or are they going to stay with 06s in ECNL? Or are they going to run to a GDA club?
5. Is DPL (or DA2 as some might call it) happening? At all ages? At all GDA clubs?
6. If DPL is happening, are GDA clubs putting their 2nd or 3rd clubs in DPL or ECNL if they are doing both?
7. Are Solar, FCD and Texans participating in TCL? If so, are those their 3rd or 4th best teams?
Don’t hold back. Lots of DDs need to make decisions. The more info the better.
Sounds like decisions need to be made now or the clubs won't take your money and your kid will be left behind. I'm sure DA2 is the place to be if you're not on DA. I know FCD at least has done a great job competing with their second team "ECNL" last year in the older age groups.

Please explain why/how training with the best sheep at a club for a 12 year old is just a bait drop?

1.) You're assuming you're dd is training with the best players.
2.)Too many of these "systems" are run by the seat of their pants year to year.
3.) As pointed out earlier, many of these clubs have proven they can't field two top teams very well. There are many instances even inside the DA clubs where the teams outside the "system" are better and probably receiving better coaching.
4.) The most important point of all.... is what system fits the kid best so they can actually excel and enjoy, all the time spent doing something that is fleeting, instead of being dragged around by a parent looking for whatever they perceive to be the latest and greatest.
Your statements pretty much indicate that you are looking for whatever new shiny toy is thrown out. BAHAHA

I've been around long enough to know where the best talent of a club is. Thanks.
2.)Too many of these "systems" are run by the seat of their pants year to year.
Maybe all of them. I'm only concerned with what I can control.
3.) As pointed out earlier, many of these clubs have proven they can't field two top teams very well. There are many instances even inside the DA clubs where the teams outside the "system" are better and probably receiving better coaching.
I'm sure there are instances but not at my DDs current club/age level.
4.) The most important point of all.... is what system fits the kid best so they can actually excel and enjoy, all the time spent doing something that is fleeting, instead of being dragged around by a parent looking for whatever they perceive to be the latest and greatest.
Agree 100%

I stopped reading this line at "pretty much indicate"... if you have facts or proof, get at me.

Your so silly ziz. I hope bodi doesn't throw you off his team like Tatu did. My money is on tat and the ass to win the amazing race.

Bait drop, huh ... as if FCD needs any help getting kids
You see boys -- jackie is a good ole' boy. Good ole' boys are very commonly of the mindset of "if ain't broke, don't fix it" ... afraid and resistant to change, aren't they?
The DPL is not a "system" at all ... just a league where it's participants will be able to train and travel with the full GDA sides, making for a much more efficient environment, both on training and logistical ends, for those clubs.

Sure, DD in no way would leave sting ECNL to go play GDA for FCD. You’re so full of shit and clearly have no idea what the hell your saying.

Clubs claim to be setting rosters and demanding commitments before players from other clubs are even allowed to go elsewhere (this is largely at 06 and older groups). So, don’t be coy or hide behind the log. Answer the following questions if you actually know:
What I know or have been told at this point by the powers that be ...
Are FCD and Solar doing GDA and ECNL at all ages?
Both plan on having ECNL for U14 and up, but I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't end up happening. Been told that FCD is phasing out ECNL at for the 06s and younger starting next year.
What are the Texans doing? GDA or ECNL? Or both?
I hear they are doing both next year (but doubt that'll be the case thereafter).
Is DPL (or DA2 as some might call it) happening? At all ages? At all GDA clubs?
As timmy mentioned, yes, DPL is happening. U13-U18/19 at FCD. Been told that this is the case at every Frontier club starting next year as it is in Southwest.
If DPL is happening, are GDA clubs putting their 2nd or 3rd clubs in DPL or ECNL if they are doing both?
At FCD, the second team for the U13s will definitely be the DPL side, and this is the plan for all groups coming in thereafter as they phase out. Which team is 2nd/3rd at U14+ is still in question and may vary by age for next year.
Are Solar, FCD and Texans participating in TCL? If so, are those their 3rd or 4th best teams?
FCD is not participating in TCL next year.
Also have been told that FCD will hold general tryouts for anyone not currently rostered with GDA for a couple weeks in May. Official announcement with details to come shortly.
Apparently there is a lack of clarity at FCD, or things changed in the few hours between BigE's post and the FCD coach's post.
