SRSA 06 - Pulp
Last year SRSA 06 received a near complete overhaul and Chris P was introduced as co-coach of the team. At the signing party he spoke enthusiastically about his commitment to develop the team through a rigorous training ladder and experience by playing 05 JDL. Within 3 weeks of making this statement and without seeing one game, he had a sudden, but decisive urge, to scrap the entire team. According to him, the team lacked passion and no one on the current roster would make the DA team the following year.
The training the team received over the next 4-5 months wasn’t as rigorous as much as it was redundant. Each 90 minute practice would consist of 1v1’s and 4v4 keep away drills exclusively. Chris’ participation in practice was limited to recording player tracked scores of each drill, none of which were shared with the players or parents until well after his departure. By Thanksgiving, Chris coached his final game for the team (3 total) and his search for his replacement had already begun.
After the holidays, word began circulating that Chris was sharing his view of the team to parents and coaches outside of the club throughout the Fall season. This behavior continued through DIGC where he remarked the team stood no chance of beating DTS in the finals. While other clubs began internal tryouts and communicating the agenda for the upcoming ECNL/DA season Solar disclosed very little until their 1st ID session. That night, as the team was finishing their 1st tryout, DTS parents contacted their Solar counterparts advising Sal A just announced his departure and offered a DA spot to any player that followed. Solar sent an email the following day introducing Sal as the new DA coach.
Every club and coach has a story, but before committing to Solar or Chris P, you should know what transpired the last few years. In two years, Solar failed this group of very special players in their refusal to weed out the clubhouse cancers on the sideline eventually causing the team to implode, and then charging Chris with their training and development. Plainly, both he and the club abandoned their top team each of the last two years. And rather than develop the team, they chose to replace them.
For those that would otherwise dismiss the above as a 1st time poster with an axe to grind, prove me wrong.

Re: SRSA 06 - Pulp
It's amazing that Solar then wanted so many of the 06's on Sal's DA team after Pulp's comments.

Can you provide a screenshot text message between you and any of the cancer, coaches, or managers? That would an excellent way for us Doctors to dissect this cancer.

Texassoccerloco- DTS has an established body of work, why would solar not want to add that to their club?

My apologies, I wasn't clear, the DTS players are a smart add to Solar, what i was referring to is Pulp's stupid comments about the 06 girls not being DA quality and then post DTS/Solar combination Colvin and Sal coming out of the woodwork trying to recruit many of the same Solar players that Pulp slammed as being inferior. Yea, no thanks...

If I am that acrimonious as some might suggest, it would be easy to refute the information provided. Or maybe this is an accurate chronology of the last two years that some might find useful?
Keep trolling while you reach out to the SRSA parents.

Just like Chris P has been talking, the parents from that Solar team have been chatting it up to almost anyone who will listen. Question is what is your motive for posting this; why? The most logical scenario is your kid didn't make the DA or DA2 team and you feel unfairly treated. If your player made the team you would not have put this information out in a public forum. Its competitive sports, crap happens. Its not always going to be "fair". If your good enough you will make the team as determined by the coaches or political influencers etc.... If your not, you wont, and all of the feelings associated with rejection will prevail for a while. As harsh as it may seem. It is what it is.
Or perhaps his dd had the choice of DA clubs.
Perhaps he/she merely wanted to warn those considering Solar of what kind of ridiculous nonsense to expect.

Predictably the most rational answer to your question is the one that fuels your agenda to troll, bitterness. Each time a user posts an anecdote about a coach or team, instead of considering the possibility that some of the material is accurate, the customary forum retort is “your DD was the worst player, get over it” and “sorry, life isn’t fair”.
While you, and others, have accepted substandard behavior from both the club and coaches as the norm, others believe history repeats itself and might find the information useful when determining the best team for their DD.
Soccerloco, well done.

Re: SRSA 06 - Pulp
What a way for this Solar 06G team to prove CP wrong. WELL DONE LADIES!!!
I think this same Solar 06G team is the only Solar team to bring home a championship during the last DIGC. The other Solar teams either did not make it out of group stage or lost in the finals including CP's USSDA U14G team. (wow what an irony)
Lovely ... Karma is a b!+ch .... poetic justice indeed ... perfect
