Seen a lot of U14, U15 and U16 DA and ECNL teams at FCD, Solar, Texans, Feet and LP in the past month?
Please.
Sounds like you get around more than Foxy.
YES ... SoSy! I'd wondered if we were ever gonna see you around here any more -- good stuff.

Seeing the kids that came from the aforementioned poor, end up on the rosters of the aforementioned rich. Not all that complicated bub
Have a nice evening Sir!
And here I thought maybe BigElitist might know what he was talking about.
Or maybe, the so-called "rich" and "poor" aren't quite as "rich" or "poor" as BigEgo would have you think.
No one is going to argue that one game establishes anything. But maybe the broad generalizations made by the forum blowhard aren't as applicable as he might think. As for the "FCD/Solar tax bracket" - aside from DA, how did FC Dallas do in all its recruiting richness last year? Last I checked, most of their ECNL teams finished near the bottom . . . and behind the #2 teams for Solar and Texans. Though I will admit, it seems like they have cornered the market on PPL teams.

Just sayin!
I agree with SOAP. #2 team against #2 team. No surprise. Except when you look at each clubs #1 team and there is no comparison.

... I'd also add that it's arguable in this particular age group that the U15 Texans GDA is stronger than their U15 FDL team.
Just sayin

Wouldn't start the celebrating just yet.
This just in . . .
Texans 04 FDL - 2
FC Dallas 04 ECNL - 1
Really? Celebrating?
Congrats to you and your kid for coming out on top in a preseason scrimmage ... And for making what is, in my opinion, the strongest Texans U15 girl's team this year.
Ya know what would be fun to talk about (that would clearly back my "richer" point here)? ... How 'bout we discuss what the result would look like had your kid's team played the FCD U15 GDA side. Think the result would be any better than what the Texans GDA team was able to muster last year (or will this year for that matter)?

You're really stuck on this one aren't ya SoSy ... Sure have been blowing hard against anything FCD 'just because' wouldn't ya say?
No one has argued their ECNL team didn't finish near the bottom, nor that they "have nowhere to go but up". Funny that we never see any mention from you about the successes of the top teams (obviously what those clubs' focus is and rightly so) at both FCD and Solar.
Sooo ... when you're ready, how 'bout you explain to us how this ... "From what I've seen in the U16/U15/U14 groups, the rich (FCD, Solar) got richer, and the poor (Texans outside of their '03s, DFeet, LP) got poorer" ... isn't the case. Would be even more compelling once you see the results once the season starts.
Ok then. Fun stuff.

Calm as a Hindu cow AG.
And understood -- Had to bring Brian's own kid up in that particular post to properly deliver the message which can throw the tone off. I typically try to avoid that if possible ... just couldn't in this case. No hard feelins

The cream is at solar and fcd DA in 04 and 05. ECNL is definitely 2nd tier for these two clubs.
Feet sticking to their 04 and 05 talent and separating themselves from other local ECNL clubs.
JustPassingThrough wrote:I guess I am confused a little. Didnt Feet finish at the top of the ECNL standings over Texans, Solar and FC Dallas last year in at least 05 and 04? And as of the friendlies last weekend they didnt lose anyone from what I saw on 04 team. We have friends playing there and watched a bit of 04 game Sun. I think they actually gained Texans, Solar and FC Dallas kids.

Hmmm ...
You don't seem to be confused at all JPT ... Sounds like you have a solid breadth of knowledge regarding the movement of some of the kids from more than a couple club's rosters over the offseason.
And those DFeet '05 and '04 D'Feet sides have always been formidable ... I don't know for sure, but I'd expect that they came out on top of the second teams at Solar and FCD ECNL last year.
Have some friends on that team as well -- don't think they lost any as they are a tight knit, very like minded group mostly from the same area and demographic ... Plus GV is a tremendous coach.
That being said, I do know that their '05s did indeed lose a couple big pieces from last year.

Props to Solar but it would appear the Texans have been completely dismantled.

Chuck, how are you surprised? It has been like this for 2 years now. With the depletion of the U16/U17 roster, this is going to happen all year to every one of those teams. And we all thought that the DA invite would mean great things.
