Questions about Recruiting Empty Questions about Recruiting

I see teams post on here looking for players, and the question I have is does it help to post here? Are there other places to go to find players? Are the players that respond on here kids that are just cycling around from team to team? I am not looking for your secret plans to find players, but was just mainly curious if post on this site helps? Not saying anything wrong with this site. Thanks.

Yes and no. 1 year, posts were made for my dd team and 4 kids came out all spring, another year over 30 came out at various times. So yes it works, its the main way to let the masses know you are open. In academy, it didn't seem to work that well, most recruiting was word of mouth in my experience.

It definitely helps but I think the biggest recruiting tools are the summer and winter camps held by clubs. Rule of thumb, IMO, is if they are at your camp then they are looking or at least curious.
