Southlake, who just won the 6A State Championship?  

Southlake's roster is made up of at least 10-11 kids who play for Solar ECNL or Solar FDL U17 or U19 teams, and that pretty much encompasses all of the impact players on Southlake's roster.  Last I checked, Solar's U19 ECNL team is sitting behind Sting and D'Feeters in the ECNL standings as hasn't beaten either team.  Not to mention that Solar and FCD's U19 DA teams would smoke any other team in DFW with the possible exception of Sting ECNL.

Highland Park, who just won the 5A State Championship?

Highland Park has about 4-5 players that are Sting or Solar ECNL players.  4-5 ECNL level players vs a full roster of ECNL level players on Sting or D'Feeters, or a full roster of DA Level players at Solar, FCD or Texans?

Texans is in downswing right now, so maybe, maybe, Southlake or HP could compete with a Texans DA team, but the others?  Sorry, no way it's happening.  Then keep in mind that Southlake and HP are the State Champs.  The quality of the other HS teams only gets worse from there.

So, this big, fat, ugly, troll will stand firm in the middle of the traffic crossing my bridge on my contention that the best HS teams would compete well against LHGCL D1 teams, but are not on the same level as the ECNL teams at Sting/DFeeters, or the DA teams as Solar/FCD/(and yes, even Texans).  Those teams are essentially 5A/6A 1st team all-district all-star teams or better.
