Vegas Baby

Any insight? What to expect? How to get chairs? Any delivery services for ice chests or other gear?

We went last year and will be there again this year with our son. Most people just say on the ground, granted I think it was a bit warmer. The fields we specifically played on did not have bleachers, but that may not be the case for all fields.The fields are very spread out. Our daughter played 30 min one way and our son was 30 minutes the other. There is shopping everywhere, so you can easily go to a Target or similar store and buy cheap chairs if needed. (I’m debating it this year.) we didn’t use any sort of delivery service for ice chests. We used the hotel ice machines for water bottles and then just bought our adult beverages at the bar.

All in all it was really fun. Our son made it to the championship, so lots of games between the two. Even with that I felt like there was plenty of time to do all of the touristy stuff.

Check with the tournament, most tournaments these days have chair rental services avaiailable at the field sites. Shows are good, but only know of one that fits a budget that the kids can see. Blue man group

Take the kids to the Fountain show in front of the Bellagio...it’s free and cool to see. Find free parking at the mall for a bit if you rent a car. Get a chair from Walmart ASAP because they will actually sell out. Keep it intact and your receipt and take it back if your a cheapskate...otherwise suck it up and leave that $15 chair in Vegas. Play the slots when the kids knock off and enjoy the weak drinks for free and pay for you one or two premium drinks.

If you get that rental and have an early game day...take that three hour ride to LA or go to the Hoover Dam it’s only 42 miles away and there are Rams along side of the road that you can get out and see grazing. Take plenty of pictures.

Hoover Dam is an amazing site to see. Definitely take the trip out to see the dam.

You'll get the most Bang for your buck on the old drag.  If the wife's into it they give you a two for one discount.  If you need directions just ask a coach...they all know where the good stuff is.

My favorite vacation destination is the Bahamas wheres its white beaches and lots of rum.

Thanks for the advice, we booked the blue man group, we got a bus for transportation, we found a delivery service that is going to bring us chairs and an ice chest, and the 2-1 special sounds to good to be true.

We’re so excited to have the opportunity to show them some North Texas soccer.
