Solar 05G Haylock - FDL/DPL

Solar Haylock is excited to announce that we will be playing in the Development Player League (DPL) this coming season.  This league is a replacement/expansion of the FDL to more of a national platform.  Many of the nations top DA clubs are participating in the DPL this coming year.   DPL players, unlike DA, can participate in high school sports.  www.DPLEAGUE.org

The league is comprised strictly of DA clubs.  The expansion will result in conference games, Regional and National Showcases as well as a Championship Series at the end of season which will rival any other platform in the country and truly give players an advantage in their college recruiting process.  Founded on the ideology of the US Soccer clubs Development Academy, the DPL is designed for clubs to manage their elite player pools to maximize their potential.

Nearly all of our league games will be played in Texas, allowing for minimal travel.  We will also be participating in two national showcase events (one of which will be held locally), where we will be playing other DPL teams from around the country.  We also plan to participate in Dallas International Girls Cup and State Cup.  The team is coming off a strong season, finishing in second place in both LH D1, and the regional Frontier Conference.  The team also traveled and won a championship at the Vegas Cup tournament.

We are looking for a few strong players to round out our roster and to share our new journey with a tremendous group of girls.  We will be holding open practices during May and June on:

I am curious and don't want to start a thread to ask (so consider this a free bump)...if this team is DPL/FDL, what is happening to the current FDL team? Will Solar have two 05 DPL teams or is the Adames team finding another platform?

Thank you for your kind words regarding our team, and for your question.  Solar, FC Dallas, Texans, Lonestar and Dash are all putting two teams into DPL for this year.  We have heard that Real Colorado is joining DPL and will likely be placed in our division as well, but that has not been officially declared.  There are currently 12 clubs in California, Arizona and Utah in one division and 5 clubs in the Southeast in a third division as it currently stands.

We are adding an open practice/tryout this week on a turf field due to the rain.
