96 LH Scheduling
96 LH Scheduling
I know last year we suffered from the wrath of inclement weather. It made for a resheduling nightmare but was handled in a way that I thought was pretty decent.
This year, we havent had those problems and it seems that the scheduling is spinning out of control. I heard about the teams that showed up at Moss on a Saturday just to find out that the field they were scheduled on was not available for day. This affected a few games. I also see teams with double headers at two different parks on the same day.
Then I take a look at the 96 D1 schedule and notice that some teams have 9 games, some 10 and some 11. This should make seeding for State Cup interesting if it stays this way. Premier League teams are playing each other in some case twice and it couldnt even be decided which game would count for Premier League standings.
I guess my main concern is the fact that the scheduling job is a paid position and as a customer that helps pay for this position, I would expect the job to be handled with a little more responsibility.
In this day and age, I would expect Lake Highlands would be doing everything in their power to step up and take care of their customers. So far, it has been anything but average and I would give them a failing grade.
Their moment in the spotlight has lasted a long time but with total lack of attention, the light is growing dim.

Our team was scheduled for 3 games in a 5 day period in August, yet we only had 2 games scheduled during the month of September.

After several email attempts over several days, I got the following reply a few minutes ago:
The remaining schedule and all reschedules will be posted by tomorrow.
Please direct all future comments to your age group commissioner.

Thanks for sharing that info. I think they scheuled too many games for the 96 age group for the Fall. Some of the teams have 11 games. That only give them 3 for the Spring. Even with high school soccer, I think its supposed to be 9 in the Fall and 5 in the Spring. Looking at the 95's from last year.

I wonder how they plan on doing State Cup seeding as far as the 4 teams that get one extra game?
Should be interesting.

Re: 96 LH Scheduling
Just got our rainout make-ups for PL. We now have 5 of our 11 games at 8am. Some teams have no 8am games, at all. Boy, sure am gonna miss the VIP treatment next year.
Maybe someone can send an email.....uhhhh, maybe not.

No emails here!!! I have buried my head in the sand! Although, at least EVERYONE now knows there was a simple fix to the problem of even games.
