This is a mock. There will be adjustments from this. I noticed multiple Solar teams in Groups A,C & I. Those will be moved over a group or two and swapped with teams close in rankings but this should give the 09 parents and idea of the pools prior to the pools and format come out.

I see as possible is them switching Solar West Austin with Renegades Blanton as an example of a switch.

Format guess. With 44 teams, 11 groups of 4 for weekend 1.
3 bye teams in. 11 pool winners from week one make D1.
14 spots taken. 16 left with 30 teams left.

For second round, they might toss the 2 teams that have the lowest points (usually 0) and GD being tiebreaker. Leaving 7 groups of 4. Top 6 winners of 7 get D1, 7th pool winner make D3, all 2nd place make D3 along with the next two best teams by points with GD being tiebreaker.

This is if they are doing the 20 in D1, 10 in D3 like for the start of 08's.

Just my guess.

I think you are correct with the 2nd weekend but they might have to toss the 5 lowest points.

44 total teams
11 make it the 1st weekend
Leaves 33 teams.
7 brackets of 4 is 28 teams.

I feel like I heard something about changing it from 20 in D1 and 10 in D3 to 15 in each...?

It’ll shorten the season though which may not be a bad thing, especially how it rains in the fall.

Group H and I look a little bit off in your projected brackets to me. The 2nd seed in each bracket is mid 30s or higher whereas other brackets have 2nd and 3rd seeds that are both higher than the 2nd seed in these brackets

Looks about right to me. I’m guessing they would try not to put the first 2 seeds in a bracket from the same club. That’s just a guess, but would make sense to not. It will be interesting to see how JCL and Tut are factored in. If you look at JCL results Grado should be second seed, Willett and Spirit right after I would think.

With 44 teams, the only way it makes any sense would be...

11 group winners will join the 3 teams that received a bye (14 teams)

2nd and 3rd place teams, plus 2 best 4th place teams make the second weekend for a total of 24 teams. Second round will have 24 teams in 6 groups of 4 and each group winner make D1 (20 teams).

This is really the only logical way to go about this, so I bet it will actually be done completely differently.

El Presidente, looks like you did a snake seeding approach based on FBR as it stands today. However, the #2 seeds in groups H and I seem off. Sticking to FBR, those two teams are #44 and #43 respectively. Aside from those, it seems you followed the pattern. Seems FBR #18 would be in Group I and FBR #19 in Group H.
