How will the Dallas Texans pan out, coming into ECNL with all the change and Michelle Hjalber coming in to coach 07s??

The 07 Texans ECNL team had apparently lost half of their team prior to Michelle arriving from FC Dallas. Word is that she is bringing many of her DPL players with her to fill that roster. TBD on how things pan out for this group.

It will be an interesting few weeks for sure.  But I am still trying to figure out how Sting has 2 ECNL teams while all other clubs have 1....anyone know?

True that DT ECNL is carrying 20 girls? Some parents are gonna be pissed when they find out only 18 allowed for travel...

I should have been more specific...sure, you can roster up to 30 girls, but per ECNL rules - only 18 can play in a game.

Make sense. But who would be ok being on a roster that big knowing that only 18 can dress. Guess if you are chasing the status.

Good question. Sting, for example, routinely rosters 23-26 kids on ECNL sides.

Sting ENCL coaches have been known to carry 24 on the roster.

If you can do it and people will pay why not!

I assume (am I wrong?) that people are double rostered so some of the "extra" players will also play on one of their LHCL, or Frontier League, or NPL teams?

Not all clubs handle this situation the same. Sting/Albion/Challenge for instance often will roster the bench/bottom ECNL players to ECRL. It all depends on the roster depths/player availability/match ups each week. Other clubs like Feet/Texans have rostered ECNL players to NPL/LH to get playing time. All depends on the # of teams and the formats the club is playing for each age group. I suppose with FDL, this league will be the defacto pool league for kids to get their playing time if not a regular starter on the ECNL/RL rosters given the roster rules are more fluid than LH. FDL will also allow 30 players in the pool which gives clubs a lot of flexibility. The days are long gone for the most part where a team is a team. It's now primarily an age based pool at the more elite levels.
