Well....we use to have so much conversation surrounding this talented group! What has happened? Where has all the fun gone? Weekly predictions. Tournament banter. It’s all faded away.....

So, just to see if we can stir up a little fun, how would you rank the Top 10 teams in NTX?

These “rankings” need some adjusting after today’s classic league play.

You’re probably right. With DKSC (I want to keep calling them Rush) winning today, might change my thoughts a bit. I hear they had several players missing in recent tourneys. That’s why I didn’t give them any love initially because they did not play well in them.

Solar McKinney - any one have any insight? DS Stars are good, but they whooped them.

I hear Solar MLS beat FCD MLS 1-0 today. Any commentary out there?

I’ll wait a few weeks before making changes to my rankings. How would you rankThe current group, Dreadpirate?

I have not seen the academy teams so can’t comment on them. I know from tournaments the ECNL teams in general are about D2/3 quality. McKinney is not the same team. Got crushed in PLD quarters as well. Both Allegiance teams are good- the top team may be the best 07 team. I’d love to see them play an academy team. Rebels still rebels. Top 3-5 for sure.

I see the Solar and FC Dallas ECNL teams consistently listed. What's thoughts on the BVB and Texans ECNL squads??

Solar ECNL defeated BvB ECNL last week 7-0. I don’t know much about this years Texans ECNL and any additions or subtractions they may have had over the summer. No scores are posted for their games yet.

couple thoughts-
Solar ECNL is Ackerson- they lost to Rebels in PLD 4-0 and split 2 games with Allegiance red- so they are about as food as Allegiance Red- so Solar ECNL is about as good as the 3-4 place D1 team, likely below Allegiance Black and Rebels for sure. Other D1 teams have beaten rebels, so losing 4-0 is not a good look, but that is a great team (Rebels). BVB ECNL lost to Celtic, tied FCD Blue, lost bad to Allegiance black (5-1) but only lost to Rebels 1-0...so like a mid D1 team.

Regarding the MLS teams- it is truly hard to tell. Like the ECNL teams they rarely if ever surface to get tested outside their bubble. Supposedly, they have the best talent in their club....

I will revamp my Top 10 after this week. Think it’s easy to say Solar McKinney is struggling. What’s the story there? DKSC has started Classic League well as well as Allegiance Red even though they had a close loss to Allegiance Black.

Can’t argue with your Top 7. Who in Classic D1 would knock FCD out? They lost their 6th game yesterday in ECNL league. I don’t think they make it in my Tier 3. Would you consider putting DKSC ahead of them?

Does anyone change their rankings after the last two weekends of tournaments? Fall Festival and the big one in Houston? Copa Rayados.
