Dallas Classic Challenge.
Dallas Classic Challenge.
My son's team was qualifying for D3, we are from Fort Wort Tx and I heard something happen then I found out that for the second round one of the teams no longer wanted to play because they already have a position in D1.
My son's team did not go to the second round but I found out from some parents that the club director told them that if they won they had to play D3 and not D1 as they had planned so they would not play for the second round.
I wonder ... Is that the legal and fair what this league allowed this club (AFC) to do without caring about other clubs besides our children? I think that after paying a lot of money it is not fair.

Secondly, I would be more upset with the club for making that decision so late. They knew prior to the Challenge Tourney what they were doing. Or should I say, trying to do.
Thirdly (LOL), qualifying for a league where the rosters will change in a month. Don't get me started!
Fourth, things aren't fair sometimes. Again, definitely not a defender of the queen of the golf carts, JB, but the board was put in a tough position because a club is teeing their kids up for failure playing D1 and not where they can be competitive.
Good luck to your boys this year. If they were that close to making CL, they will have a great year developing against some equal talent in another league.
EDIT: After looking at the 2nd round schedule, it looks like AFC moved out to take that D1 spot and the next qualifying team from Round 1 was moved to this week's qualifying. Seems fair to me, right?

Re: Dallas Classic Challenge.
If that team already knew that it had a position in D1, why enter to qualify and leave out 2 teams that if they wanted to be in D3?
That seems dishonest to me.
At the same parents of the team disagreed but in the end convinced them that it did not matter that they were already in D1.
After directly affecting 2 teams from the same bracket. Tornados and Fort worth to be exact. Maybe JB and the AFC club director are friends and help him do that? Or is there something we don't know about how they handle each other?
