Hate is not a good word for what I think of the program at the Texans. I just call it like I see it. The program at the Texans is a defensive minded program that is working well for now on the girls side. The great offensive players in the program have to look for training from other sources to get what they need. It is as simple as that.2ddgotskillz wrote:BackDraft wrote:Well it looks like SB isn't as bad as some thought. Probably some of the best defensive teams in the country.

The great thing about the Texans they know how to balance a check book. Unlike some here in DFW.

Backdraft, unfortunately the facts as shown here http://www.eliteclubsnationalleague.com/schedule/index_E.html, do not support your theory above. Just a simple check on Texas Conference GF vs GA (any age group) will help you see that your assessment is a bit skewed and strays away from the facts.

When you play full boar against National flight B teams. It may appear they are offensive minded. Trust me they are not.Pele98 wrote:BackDraft wrote:Hate is not a good word for what I think of the program at the Texans. I just call it like I see it. definitely not as planned for Texans, although we ended the week playing well.
Not to completely change the subject, and I dont think it is, but Chicago was awesome right up until we had to start going out to the complex to play. I am not a complainer by nature, but this was ridiculous for any ECNL tournament, and this was NATIONALS! Here are the issues:
- the format of the tournament was stupid...#9 and #2 ended with the same W-L record, but #2 lost their last game and #9 lost their first game. There are more of these type things, but this is Case #1.
they dictate the hotels you have to stay in, and ours was literally 1 hr from complex. (Waukegan to Schaumburg)
- they had to parking - 1 of the days they didnt even let me drive the team up and drop them off. (the outer lot was over 1/2 mile from fields)
- the fields were not good....clumpy grass that was so long the ball would stop rolling in it.
- the ECNL event people were RUDE...when our team was taking a cooler with ice rags to the sideline they were yelled at and demanded to remove it from the field on 2 days until shown there were NO OTHER PRODUCTS in there (as Gatorade was a title sponsor...we found out that was the problem)
I could go on and on. USYS may have been waning, but they had their crap together when it came to putting on a major event and so far the ENCL is PI$$ poor on this front. (yes they have heard from me too)

Re: So ... Who is Sean Bubb?
Are you telling me that the Texans were actually told "NO"
and inconvenienced?
I find that extremely hard to believe; I eagerly await the
Supreme Court ruling on this obvious travesty of justice....

I will take that jab.
Alas, it was not ONLY us Texans, but all those that chose to participate in the WONDEROUS (tongue-fully-in-cheek) event previously referenced.
