04 Rowdy/Texans

Since someone open dialog on the 02 Rowdys, Any comments on 04 Rowdys with the new coach?

Did RH take over the '04's also or is this now Rosales team? Is Rosales now running an A & B squad or did he only keep top girls from both teams?

My understanding is that the 04 and 02 Rowdies are becoming Texans at an earlier age than usual because DM is retiring. Rowdies 02 will become Texans with RH as the coach. Rowdies 04 will become Texans with Tim Bennett as the coach. Rosales still has his same team and they are Texans North.

That's correct. So Rosales or Tim... who's better?

very interested to see the new TB texans. They have some talent and now the have the pedigree. They could probably use a few more players and may have to drop a few but a solid base is there. Rosales was solid in the 04 tourney but way too many goals coming from one person could leave the exposed. It's gonna be interesting to see who the Texan top dog is.

I agree Rosales has one dominant player (x rowdie). Takes the ball from one end of the field to the other. Whenever she's out the team cannot attack.

....until she goes to the next team......

but thats the problem. Against the top teams she will not be able to take the ball from one end to the other

A little education....Texans is Tim B. North, south, East or West does not matter. Texans top team will always be David May, Tim Bennet, Ian Farley, Ryan or the new coach Sean. This is not Sting, Solar or Fc Dallas the top team is already decided before the kids are born.

I thought DM was retiring?

So are you saying dt south 03 adames or north 04 Rosales will eventually be playing under one of those coaches?

He probably is because he saw DT south would not produce the type of player he likes. You know... Skilled ones.

Top Texans team runs through the people mentioned above same for boys side. If you want to play for the top you play for Hassan.

Eventually, the top Texans team will be the current TB/Rowdies team. That's just how it's been for many, many years. There will be player turnover but this is the team you want to be on at the older ages for ECNL and college opportunities.

That maybe the case up in select but remember we are talking 7/8yr old here. They are 10-11yrs away from college scouts coming knocking on their door. TB won't be their coach by then. Texans usually make coaches hand teams over to new coaches every 2-3yrs at the select age.

Right now who really cares who is the king of Texans in the '04 bracket b/c it will turn over by this time next year. With new teams popping up and 3yrs til select who know where any of these '04 teams will be in that time frame.

Statistically, the vast majority of these seven year olds won't be anywhere near an ECNL roster in eight years time. And even if they were, there is PLENTY of time for them to worry about all that way down the line.
This is the Kool Aid recruiting sales pitch used by Texans - get in now when you're six or seven years old and you'll be all set 10 years later for a college education. Nonsense.
But if you want to go that route, if USYS Nationals are any indication, I would say Sting would be the place to be when they're teenagers!

Nobody is telling anybody to goto the Texans or whatever. Somebody asked about them so people are answering their questions. I'm just stating facts from what has happened historically. Accept it, these are facts. Typically people that write negative things on here about teams/coaches have their own agenda. Bad experience with them? Daughter didn't make the team? Or people that think they know more than anybody else.

Everybody knows the Texans switch coaches every two years. That's not exactly breaking news. The point of this thread was to give information. Obviously, they are not for everybody. Are you saying your coach or club is for everybody? Are you saying that Sting doesn't use their reputation with colleges to help attract players to their club? If so keep drinking your Sting kool aid. What is it about Texans that's different from any other club?

If you go with your argument, why do have your daughter in academy at all? They're only 8 years old so what does it matter. Just put your daughter in rec and she'll have the same opportunities as everybody else. Most coaches will tell you it is too late by the time they are 12 or 13. Of course, there are always exceptions.
