Both Texas Spirit North Teams Played Against Solar-Kennington Squads Today...Ironically, the Spirit's Gray Team BEAT Solar 4-3, While the Spirit's Red Team Lost to Solar's "A" team by the Same EXACT Score...

Knowing & (More Importantly) RESPECTING Solar-Kennington's Place in the 04' Soccer Ranks, this was a Day for TEAM SPIRIT to Be Proud Of...Many of Our Parents have ALWAYS Felt we Could Play w/ANY of the Better '04 Teams & Slowly but Surely, we're PROVING it...

Not to pop anyone's bubble, but you can't go by a score at this age to measure development and how close one team is to another. You just need to look at the game, minus the goals being scored, and evaluate the play of the players before you. I've seen 1-0 games that the losing team was so happy to only lose by 1 and think that they are getting close to that "top" team. But if you watched the game, the entirety of it was played in one half and the better team just wasn't converting on their chances against a pack the box defense. Could have been 6-0 or more. And the lesser team didn't have a prayer to score. Yet those parents were so pumped to only lose 1-0. One of them told me that they were getting closer. Closer to what? You noobie parents are funny.

The biggest problem with North Texas Soccer is not the soccer parents, or the system....It's the handful of people like you that sit around and bit** about everything.

What games are still missing?

Is there an 04G parent that would be willing to keep track of the SDL and EAL games this season? Some of the older age groups have had a lot of fun with this.

Sorry for the dumb question... but how do the other age groups accomplish this tracking? Do they contact other teams to see how they did in their games or just depend on people submitting scores over the forum?

When you go select and sign contracts, pay much more money, etc. , the games are scheduled and scores are kept by gotsoccer.com. It has your team information, past games, rankings, etc. You may have seen it used in a tournament before at your age, but it is used extensively at the older ages. Until then, you have to rely on parents at this age to post their scores. Amazingly, many of them will be a little off, and almost always in favor of the person posting.

Texas Spirit North Red came ready to play. They scored 2 quick goals against Solar Kennington and Solar had to fight back to get the 4 to 3 win. Texas Spirit goalies made some nice saves, they had good play from their defenders and their forwards are always dangerous. Great game.

Yes, older age groups rely on parents online posting.

As this age group moves into other leagues, like EAL and TGPL, the scores are officially posted, like Prime Time does. So, there's no confusion.

In the older age groups I've been associated with, there were not many score posts that were incorrect. Just fun to keep track, rank the teams, and enjoy talkiing/posting about them.

Nah, my DD has Played Soccer for All of her Young Life & is in her 2nd Full Year w/Texas Spirit North...This is Her 3rd or 4th Season of SDL, All w/the Spirit, & we've Played Solar-Kennington Several Times in that Span...w/Out Question, they're the Best Team we've Encountered, a "Measuring Stick" if You Will...

Don't Let my Post Count Fool You into Thinking this is Team Spirit's 1st Rodeo, Pal...It ISN'T...Moreso, I'm Not Sure who Annointed You as the Keeper of All Pertinent Soccer Opinions or What Entitles you to Be a "RICK" w/a "P" in Front of It, but I Ain't Buying what You're Selling...

I WASN'T Allowing the Score of the Game to Measure Anything...The Title of the Thread REQUESTED SCORES & No One had Commented on the Spirit vs. Solar-Kennington Games as of Yet, So I Spoke Up...Simple as That...Sorry if that Bothered You...Since I was there in Attendance, I Suppose I Could've Given a Looooooooong Winded Synopsis of the Game, but I Typically Reserve those for the Team Spirit Website...Feel Free to REED my Take on the Solar Game when it's Posted in a Day or 2...
