Fever Red 0
Feet 0

Fever dominated. Had several opportunities to score, just couldn't put the ball in the net. Played a nice posession game with most of the action on the Feet side of the field. Feet had a great opportunity to score in the second half on a shot that was ripped off the crossbar. That girl can play. Feet defenders played tough.

DT Bennett 2
DT South 1

Tale of two halves....DT South totally dominated first half and went into halftime with 1-0 out shooting Bennett about 12-2. Second half Bennett stepped up and played much better and put 2 goals in on nice crosses. DT South still put on a lot of pressure and 2nd half was about 50-50. DT South girls played very spirited and looked great with passing and winning the 50/50 balls. Overall it appeared South out shot Bennett. Great game!

Any play by play on the FCD vs Higg game? Heard 1-0 Higg but how did it go? That's the game of the season!

In beginning, HIG ran the show at FCD end almost half of first half. Looked to be very onesided then.
FCD had some break aways and began to play good soccer but could not put ball in net. or penetrate their defense, much.FCD picked it up and began playing their game. FCD got Higgy off their game a few times as their team was packed in the box but could not come up with goal. Higgy seemed to move ball better between their girls. One v one FCD girls beat their players -but team sport- so winner goes to Higgy. Very physical game several cheap fouls and pushes -mainly directed at some key players. But FCD held their own . Good game, not FCD's day today. Congrtas to TXNs

IMO,
I dont think any fouls were directed at any key players. What I did see was some great battles between players. This is the fourth time weve played each other and the same girls mark each other each time and play hard. The great thing about it is we all walk away after the game having great respect for each other players and famlies. So I dont know what your trying to start but your not going to draw any of us parents offsides.

DT scored on a great play, the player that scored made a awesome read and took advantage of it. DT played with more intensity and looked great.

FCD had some good plays but could not convert on the few opportunitys that they had. FCD learned alot from this game and will work hard to fix them. Looking forward to playing them again.

For what its worth... I happened to be at my DD 98 practice so I got to watch this game.

First I was very impressed with both teams. Second I think I saw a different game than AirforceOne.

DT controlled most of the game with a few short bursts by FCD (specifically late in the game). Not sure I saw a legitimate shot on goal by FCD the entire game and saw DT hit the post at least twice and miss some strong shots inside the 18 and from distance as well. DT keeper probably had the ball in her hands 3-5 times the entire game. DT clearly has a speed advantage over FCD in most all positions, however, are equal technically. FCD forwards never got loose from the DT defenders and the DT forwards found space multiple times. DT plays rough and penalties were called accordingly. Especially late which gave FCD some chances but they never really threatened. This game could have easily been 3-0. Knowing the quality of RH he is beginning to get the DM out of this group and they should only get better. FCD has good talent but could use some speed (especially up top) to keep up with DT. Odd to see the DT brass (both RH and SB) on the sidelines for this game...I guess they are taking these little girls serious over at Big Red.

On a side note...it's odd to me that more unhappy 02s aren't considering coming over to Sting.
Great club, history and coach's. We clearly could use some talent over here.

I agree for the most part but definately saw some players fouled repeatedly- now this could have been unintentional, and probably were not coaches orders other than to "play hard"- could be the players marking certain players are just the more agressive defenders'players, and it worked bc it got into some of the girls' heads. All and all DTX were more aggressive but a few even more so. All and all good . I did see several girls talking hugging laughing after the game even after the shaking of the hands and parents walked away in good spirits as well. No Conspiracy here to get parents up in arms -just an observation of fouls perhaps I could have worded it less offensively. Both teams and parents are always class acts.

DT-Bennett-2 DT-South-1.
Very good game. DT-Bennett has a very good very fast team. At the beginning South had the ball 80% of the half. They moved the ball well and had very good shots from outside. After half DT-Bennett woke up and the game shifted. They started moving the ball well. Had some great shots from outside mid and forwards. Thought South would of scored when they moved their sweeper up. She is very fast and has a great shot from outside also. All in all it was a good game to watch. Can't wait for the rematch.
