TAPPS Season Starts Next Week

That time of the year kids. 2 scrimmages this week and TAPPS league play starts next week. Incredible crop of freshman this year and only lost a couple of key players to graduation. Go Bishop Lynch Lady Friars

Extremely hard fought and well played game last night between BL and TCA. BL made an amazing goal in double overtime for a 1-0 win. TCA keep was pressured at times as was ours. Both came through beautifully. My dd landed on the wheel of the goal while saving a PK and then an immediate rebound from that PK at her club game on Sunday. Pretty sore but didn't think at the time she'd torn anything. Warming up for this game, she managed to land hard and clear she's injured her shoulder. Not much better tonight so trip to the ortho in near future. Sigh.

Bishop Lynch #2 in TAPPS. Ursuline is #1. Only loss so far was last night to Ursuline. Very hard fought contest. Well done ladies!!! Click on the BL women's soccer web site for action pics. Playing Prestonwood on Friday at BL. Love the new FIFA approved turf field that was completed last year. Much better than the dirt, little bit o grass and straw (kid you not) they were playing on the year before.

BL is doing well. Only loss against Ursuline was 2-1. Keep it up Ladies!!! Woot Woot. More info and pics on the BL website. We had a lot of interest in the soccer team with sign ups at the BL open house Sunday. Thank you all and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

As of last night's win, BL now 5-1-2 and BL now in second place. Ursuline is still undefeated. Way to go ladies. Nolan game on Monday will be hard fought.

Waiting for someone else to put something here. This year dd transferred from UIL school that has not lost a district game in 9 years to a TAPPS team that has not won in 5.

So far 2 ties and a 8-0 loss to a team that beat them 17-0 last year.

To say the least it has been interesting.

I'll bite. HSAA is off to a good start 3-1 (or 3-2 if you throw in the scrimmage vs. Maggie's BL crew) vs. TAPPS/SPC portion of the schedule.

Turns out DD had a brachial plexes nerve injury. Kind of scary first week when she was in a lot of pain and couldn't raise her arm or make a fist. Treatment with steroids and total rest. She's not fully back but itching to play all month. Wasn't expecting her to play Monday and coach had her play for JV. She did look a little rusty at first during that game and then muscle memory kicked in and played well. Played for varsity on Friday and looked pretty good. Almost, but not completely back.

What school did your daughter transfer to? Is it a good school? Tell us all the good things about it and maybe you'll recruit a few of our daughters.

Woo hoo ! After breaking the ice last week with the schools first district goal in three years the season ends tonight with the schools first district win in 5 years ( at least I was told it was 5 years ).

Woot woot We were paddled pretty hard by Ursuline. Thing of beauty to watch them play if you are not on the receiving end.

Hedges became varsity coach last year. Still varsity coach. Mike Moritz became the JV coach this year. Bios are on the BL web site as well as pics on the shutterfly site.

Just curious, how is it that Nolan ends up playing Ursiline in finals if they are in same district? Do they re seed as they go through??

Because the winner of the district (Ursuline) is on the top of the bracket where 2nd and 3rd are on the bottom of the bracket. If Nolan would ever finish 4th then they would meet Ursuline in the Semis.
