It went unnoticed because no top teams played.

Wow, and you're DD plays for who? Last time I checked Polaris was ranked 10-11, what is your definition of top teams? Maybe you can shed some light for us on your hit and run comments there Calmdown???

Just like my screen name says you need to "calm down" , if Dt higgy Dt south SRSA Webb or fc Dallas premier was playing this topic would be 5 pages long. If you say Polaris is ranked # 10 or 11 I say cool!!

Funny stuff, you are right on the top 4 generating lots of posts which is funny, they are so far above everyone else it's not even worth discusssing. It's the 5-15 rankings that have the most potential to move.

I don't think the ranking should change due to tournament play, to many teams using guest players. I see fc Dallas renfro won tfc blue cup but people are saying they used Grubbs players
so who really won? I am assuming your dd plays for Polaris did you guys use any guest players
or "new additions" ?

both tournaments should affect rankings. I know teams used Higgy players on Sunday for Texans teams and very much in DT Fall Festival Tournament, and they still moved in rankings.

Every team explores new possible players in tournaments. Why would you not?

No, my DD does not play for Polaris, one of the other teams in the Showcase tourney, most of the games I saw Polaris looked like the same bunch of girls. Our team played with what we had as well but the guest playing thing is just the law of the land for Academy apparently, especially with the bigger clubs.

Guest playing is great, it gives players something to do when their team is off. It also gives players back up plans just in case their teams dont work out. The only problem is when a team doesnt do so well in league play
but uses guest players "new additions" in tournaments. They end up winning or doing very well, then they stick their chest out and want to climb the rankings. League play comes around the real team shows up and things dont go so well. Thats why I feel only league play should be considered.

That is my opinion but you know what they say about opinions.
