02 Prognostication Game

OrangeBlooded was nice enough to share the rules and, more inportantly, tracking information for the 01 prognostication game with me.

I want to use it for the 02s this spring season. I will use it for TGPL and EAL as of now. If there is enough interest from parents in other leagues I will include those as well.

The rules are below. I will post a thread for TGPL Gold and Silver momentarily and EAL after Coachdom wrangles enough responses from coaches to put out the EAL schedule.

RULES:
Perfect score pick - 10 points
- 1 point for every goal off perfect (e.g. - pick 2-0 and score 1-0, = 9 points. Pick 4-0 and score 2-0 = 8 points, etc.)
If you pick a winner, that team must win or no points for you.
If you pick a winner and that team DOES win, you will get at least 1 point (I added this rule after a wild 9-2 score last season would have resulted in zero points for prognosticators who correctly picked winner by score of 1-0).

Ties:
If you pick a 1-1 tie, and score is 1-1 = 10 points
If you pick a 1-1 tie, and score is 2-2 = 8 points (etc.)
Tie picks that are 1 goal off perfect get 5 points (e.g. - If you pick an 0-0 tie, and score is 1-0 = 5 points; if you pick a 1-1 tie and score is 2-1 or 0-1, you get 5 points).
If you pick a tie, but more than one goal separates winner from loser -- no points for you.

Picks must be in by 12:00 noon on Friday before weekend league games. If rainouts
necessitate any midweek games, picks for the whole week (inclusive of weekend games) must be in by noon on the day of any such midweek games. All prognostication picks must be made in the proper prognostication thread, and must include picks for all games for that week in one post (copy and paste if you want, but chasing down picks from multiple threads and/or culling together 3 picks in one post, 5 in a second post, and 7 in a third post is out of the question -- it just makes scoring more of a chore than it should be).
