'05 Friendly Games in April & May

An email blast was sent yesterday to all points of contact listed on the 05 Master list put together by Friscosoccer05.

We are looking to put together a series of friendly games during the months of April & May. We have two full size 8v8/9v9 fields at our Andromeda Juniors facility adjacent to Soccer Spectrum in Richardson.

The environment is friendly. Games will be run by the coaches as the purpose is for learning and development. Each team will get 3 full length matches. There is zero cost assosciated with this, simply show up with your team and let the girls play.

We quickly recieved responses from a good number of teams. I will contact all parties interested this weekend and finalize a date for the first gathering in April

If you are interested in your team participating PM me or email me at AndromedaFC05@gmail.com and I will add you to the list, or nudge your coach and ask him/her if they have checked their email.

Email just went out yesterday. Im sure we all know the typical coach response time for emails, but the big dogs have jumped at it already. We have plenty to get started with for a first gathering but I would like to have 8 teams to allow for a break in between all the games for each team.

We have done this once before in futsal (great time for everyone) and recently on a beautiful afternoon in January outdoors (another fun time).

Throw your hat in the ring. There are no trophies and no placement in a tournament to worry about, just letting the girls play in a fun and constructive environment.

We can only accommodate so many each time and will mix it up for subsequent gatherings.

I think it's great that you guys are putting this together. Judging by the response, many others do as well.

Any idea on what the date will be for the May friendlies? Our EAL season is still going throughout April, but we want to play in May. But there's also a ton of tournaments that month - just wondering what you were thinking!
