Quick question for anyone that may be able to shed some light...
We are new to academy soccer, my daughter plays in the 05 league. I have had some troubles the last few games with parents and coaches. I have heard more "push them down," "pull her hair," "run over her," and my favorites are the adults congradulating 7year olds for throwing other girls down. I am not at all opposed to aggressive soccer, this is a contact sport; however, this seems a bit much. Just want to know if this is what I should expect. Granted I will have to take the extra time to remind ny child about appropriate sportsmanship since I have yet to see the adults demonstrate it.

Yes - you will hear this stuff A LOT. I find it helps me if I sit as far from the middle line as possible so I don't hear the opposing teams parents. You will also hear:

Don't let her push you - Push her back

Run through her

I think there was an old thread with a list of the "interesting" things parents yell to their kids.
