Do you Email your DD Coach? Empty Do you Email your DD Coach?

Do you email or talk to your DD's coach very often about her play or the games in general? I have taken the hands off approach and do not talk to the coach other than to say "Hi" in passing at games and practices, and do not email or call him. As long as my DD is happy, playing enough and having fun, all is good.

I was talking to a parent at practice the other night and she mentioned how she emails the coach a lot with questions and had a phone call with the coach after the last game to discuss the game and her DD. Does anyone else do this that often?

For those coaches out there, does it bug you? Do you get emails from parents all week with questions, or only a few select parents?

Just curious if I should start bugging the coach or getting to know him better.

Some coaches talk nonstop with parents via txt, phone and email. Some don't communicate much at all. It's your preference basically.

My dd's coach is very accessible like that...thank goodness. I do email sometimes with concerns or "thoughts". (I tend to be opinionated Wink ). I am sure he rolls his eyes when he sees an email pop up from me. He is always courteous though. Razz My DD last coach was very hands off...everything went through the manager. But...he had many teams so I guess I can understand why he would have to do it that way.

I try very hard not to email as I figure coaches are busy and most things are covered during practice. I have emailed once or twice when I had specific questions or concerns about my dd and I always get a quick response that clarifies something I'm usually clueless about (not being a soccer player myself). I do, however, make good use of the parents on our team that I know to be especially knowledgeable about rules, skills, etc, so I don't have to ask coach, hee. They probably get tired of me asking things like "why was that a foul?" and so forth.

Do you e-mail your DD's coach?

Email is OK, but you really should deliver the Mavs tickets or keys to the lake house in person. Of course, when you take him to the club, make sure you ride in the same cart so he can't get away from you.

Unless your coach is a scouser because then that cart is probably nicked
