Absolutely embarrassingly awful referees. SDL may have only had 2 per game...but I think most of them knew what offside was. Ridiculous for a league that is supposed to have the premier teams playing to have such terrible officiating. Duh...I am supposed to stay with the last defender?....whats a last defender???? Geez.

Frustration is very high but I won't go into any more detail.

I thought first half was pretty even, other than the Saints scored. FCD was better team for most of the second half, had Saints backed into their 18, but could not score. Saints hustled but did not get their heads up to connect passes, insteading giving back to the Fros. As it got close to full time, Saints gained confidence and finished strong. Good game for Saints but I would take Fro on a bet next time they meet.

Score looks close but Polaris did not generate one shot on Dynamo frame. But to give Polaris credit, they kept in scoreless a long time while Dynamo kept getting the ball deep into their box into heavy traffic. I was impressed by Polaris effort and physical play. Dynamo is probably unhappy with conversion of opportunities into goals ratio.

FCD by far is the Best 02 team this year. The style of play is amazing. Their is not one week link in their chain. It would of been awesome if Higg could of played them, that would of been the game of the year. If this team stays together they will win multiple state cup, and other titles.

Not sure I would agree with this assessment of the game. The first have was controlled by the Saints. They pressed and had 3-4 good shots and one got in with about 5 minutes left (right through the five-hole). FCD only had 1 shot the entire first half and couldn't even get into the offensive side but twice. The second half there was a strategy change for FCD. They put 5 defenders back on a line to prevent the Saints from pushing forward. This kept the ball out of their own box, but they never had numbers to score (they missed that extra midfielder). The Saint's keeper had 3 great saves. But the defense was solid for the Saints. They won most of the balls in the air and beat the FCD players to the open balls.

I would say the Saints outplayed, outhustled, and outran the FCD team.

First off, I am a Fever parent, so understand that as you read my recap.

Sting was on the attack for the first 10 minutes of the game. Fever was pretty much locked in their defensive half. Then the tide turned a bit and Fever was pretty much on the attack the rest of the game, with a handful of opportunities for Sting.

Stings first goal came in the first half, off of a pretty cross and a beautiful one touch finish. It was very clear to me that the scorer was offsides but the referee didn't think so, and that is all that matters. It was a nice goal.

Fever really controlled the second half and had many opportunities but just couldn't get off enough quality shots. The Sting Keeper used her height advantage very well as there were 2 shots on goal that would have gone over most 10 year olds heads, but this keeper just swatted them away like Dirk Nowitzki.

Stings second goal came in the second half on a PK. Mixed reviews on the call. I didn't see it. Some of our parents said that the Sting girl pushed down the Fever girl, who was much smaller, and then she fell. One other parent said it was a foul. It was a nice PK shot, hit the inside of the left post and went in. Not even Hope Solo could have got that one.

I too was not too happy with the refereeing. It seems offsides is very difficult to understand. The center ref would seem to blow his whistle for no particular reason and then let a shirt pull and a two handed shove, play on. But it is what it is, and you have to compete no matter what.

Congrats to Sting. They have really improved from last fall.

SRSA lookin great dominating forward play. Overall game has improved. Still a top 02 team.

2nd game, FCD came in with fresh legs, not enough to win though. SRSA remains on top.

FCD is playing great ball right now. When SRSA completes there transition and Higgs joins the bunch, it will be nice to see.

I have no clue...their game ended when my dds game was just starting and I asked one of the parents the score.
