Interesting.
Pool A should be competitive, no complaints here!

Sting West, Hypia, and Texans Moreno should be on the phone asking for changes.

I predict a bunch of 6 and7 year old girls (who have no earthly clue their crazy parents actually follow 'rankings' of them) will be running around having fun playing the beautiful game!

Man that might affect the bottom line sir...
BTW, Happy May... any big plans for Cinco De Mayo this weekend?
I got a question for you, do you have any clue (without Googling or searching otherwise) what Cinco De Mayo is actually for?

Plans? Let's see.
Saturday. Wake up around 6 AM to get my DD ready for 8 AM game (1 hour drive so we will have leave house by 6:30 AM in order to be there 30 minutes early). Then an 11 AM game. Then lunch with DD's team. Then high tail it back to Keller to coach my son's U5 rec team (Go Desperados!) at 3 PM. My older DD has a volleyball and rec soccer game as well that I hope to make as well. We'll then go to Mass at 5:30 Sat night due to early Sunday morning game. The Rangers play at 6:15 so hope to watch most of the late innings whilst sipping on some cheap wine.
Crap. Forgot I have to cut the grass sometime as well. I guess there is Sunday but hopefully we get home late as that would mean the girls did well and made finals.
Are you available to help me with my lawn if I need it? I have a full sized soccer goal in back yard if that helps.

Aside from the U5 rec sized fields this was a great tournament with some really strong 05 competition. Sting West has great overall team speed and Solar Red has one the fastest forwards around... they also have, without question, one of the best keepers I have seen in the 04 or 05 age group... including the "elite" 04 teams. This young lady made saves 05 keepers aren't supposed to make!
Does anyone know who won the Sting West/DT Moreno game?

Heard sting tied it up late and won in PKs. I think I heard the score was 5-4 after PKs

I saw the deadline was Sunday for this Tournament, but I just heard that if they sign up today they will let them in!

Thank you,
Hyppia won 4-1. It was tied 1-1 at half. Solar's speedy forward caught Hyppia on a break away in the first half while my poor DD was in goal! As a funny story... on our way to get her post tourney treat I wanted to ask my DD about that break away... but I didn't want to be critical... so I said, in a light hearted way, "So, where you like 'oh man!' when the fast forward was charging towards you?"
What I really wanted to know was why she stayed back and didn't come forward like she has been taught to do on break aways... but, again, I didn't want to be critical as she played her heart out the entire weekend. Plus she has no formal training as a keeper... and Hyppia rotates many different girls in goal to help them learn multiple positions.
Anyhow, she replied (laughing and smiling), "Oh Daddy! I wanted to charge her but my feet just wouldn't move!"
How awesome is that? I hope we parents cherish these moments... I hear these kiddos of ours grow up quickly and move away.
