'02 FBR Rankings 05-22-12 - Corrected

My apologies. Found a significant error in the 5/22 Rankings while compiling the 5/29 Rankings. Corrected 5/22 Rankings posted below.

Rankings include game results from 1/1/2012 until Present

I'm trying my best to keep up with the changing landscape in the '02's and treating the changes as best as I can based on the information I'm able to track down...

Sting Rezaie/Sting Goodman - After further information received, I am treating these 2 teams as new entities. Results from Spring tourneys are being assigned to these new teams. Sting Searls/Sting Royal Searls/Sting Goodman are all still in the ranking calculation based on their Spring league results, but have been removed from the final ranking list.
FCD Thompson/FCD Pratt - Based on my information, these teams are the results of some reshuffling of 2-3 teams from the Spring (Palmisano, Ptak, and Ciro). Similar, I am treating these as 2 new teams and starting fresh with their recent tournament results.
FCD South Rangel - To the best of my knowledge, the Polaris team moved essentially intact to FCD.
Celtic - To the best of my knowledge, this is just a rename of XLR8
Liverpool Beardsley/Nicol have merged and will be listed as Liverpool Nicol going forward.

The Sting, Sting Royal, Sting Goodman (Spring SDL), FCD Palmisano, FCD Ptak, and FCD Ciro, Liverpool Beardsley teams are still in the database and their results from the Spring are used in the Ranking calculation, but I have removed all of these teams from the final list before publishing.

If I receive additional credible information regarding other teams, I will make modifications as appropriate.

I would say there is an error with FCD Thompson rating. They are a new team and have only played together in a tournament last weekend. They lost 6-0 (Sting), 9-0 (San Angelo) and 12-0 Dallas Texans. All good teeams but they did not make it over midfield line in 2 games

Sting Hanks was 14 (it was a combo of Hanks and Raize)
Sting Goodman roster was 64

Combine and they're 11?
Not sure I understand how that works.

Yes. I would agree. The fewer games a team has played, the more likely there is inaccuracy or "noise" in the ranking calculation. Right now, their ranking is dominated by a high SoS. As the team plays more games - they appear to be playing in a much more appropriate bracket in AFC Summer Challenge this weekend - they will dial in much closer to their appropriate ranking. Not sure where exactly that is yet, but I would agree that it's likely somewhere outside of the top 30.

Similar to my last response. I have created a brand new team that only has results from 4 games played last weekend attached to them. Probably not the most accurate ranking for them at this point. However, from what I've heard about this team, and the results that they had in their tournament last week (including a 2 goal loss to a top 4 DT South team), then somewhere in the 10-15 range is the right spot for this team. If I treated this team as an extension of Sting Royal/Hanks from the Spring season and just added the 4 games from last weekend to the Royal team that was previously ranked 14th, they would likely have moved up a couple of spots in the rankings.

This team is signed up to play in a very solid gold bracket of the AFC Summer Challenge this weekend. We'll have a more accurate read on this team after those games are taken into account.
