Why does a great team like them there ole rowdies gotta come in here and talk about how good and fast they are. If that there front line was so fast why didn't it score on that there FCD team they got whopped by. Then cousin Jerry told me they barely beat a weak old Dynamo team by one goal. Then them ple rowdies don't lay that flame tournament with Sting and fever and Liverpool and dynamos again. But them ole rowdies show up in a C tourney that me and cousin Harlod and Bobby Jo and a few others won last year. Gitter dunnnnnnn. Now they can only score 2 against ole # 14 sting but are supposed to be real real fast. Now mamma didn't raise no dummy. And I was born at night but it wasn't the other night everybody needs to pipe down and relax. It's gonna be real fun watching me and cousin Harold and Bobby Jo win that there QTT games and be number UNO mas. Didn't know I new spansih dis ya.

Agreed DTX did not score as much as they should have, DTX regular forwards are skilled and tectical and fast-maybe it didnt show today but they are. Many times when defensive players pack the box teams resort to the long shot. Team is rusty , but played worthy opponents. Need to improve? Yes, doesnt everyone?No one was sent in to save the day- goals were made by regular offensive line up forwards and mids who score normally. Congrats to all for making it to playoffs in the heat.#4.  DT parents were somewhat disappointed with the outcomes of 2-0. But a win is a win. Winning a tournament is not always easy even though DT is the top team. 

#5.  Special congrats to both Sting and Andro.  They showed that they belong!  No shame here at all.  Their future is bright with more skills and tactics on offense.

I'll stay away from bashing 10 year old girls and pointing out their flaws on the pitch, but wanted to mention that my DD guest-played with Andro this weekend and, in the final, I found the Texan girls to be a talented and focused group who play hard for each other and their coach. There was no let up in the final vs Andro and DT was trying to put it in the net every possession. A quick word about Andro: my DD thoroughly enjoyed Mike Powers and Jon Patterson and all the girls. That team, playing for the first time together, is comprised of girls who have been well-coached and with time, I see them as having a very bright future. Mike Powers will only make them better and I'm glad he's in the 02 mix. Too bad the Vipers stayed inside and out of the heat -- maybe it will cool off soon so they can come out and play.
