So based on this, I'm assuming you are telling me that Solar Jones moved to Liverpool and is now Liverpool '02 Keegan?

I can't speak for Texans, but the Sting teams are nothing like they were in the spring. There has been a lot of
movement and general upgrades with no major defections. Past results are just not applicable to the teams which
are currently on the field playing for Rezaie/Parker.

Even though the FBR doesn't currently say it, I think that Texans for sure, and likely Sting Rezaie as well, are both top 10 teams.
Texans at #14 is a numbers thing right now, and is really just a reflection of them having played a relatively weak field in Kyle Owen as their only "official" games against '02 girls since last fall. I would expect Texans will be in one of the Platinum groups at King TUT and will play well and will probably jump into the top 10 in FBR. Maybe not all the way into the top 5 where they likely belong, but likely into the top 10.
I've been getting a BUNCH of feedback on the Sting teams since I posted the rankings last night. I think the whole Sting Searls/Royal Searls/Rezaie/Hanks/Goodman/Cuevas stuff was a bit muddled as Sting was figuring their select teams out. From the PM's I've been getting, it sounds like most/all of the various incarnations of this group were a mixed group to some extent. Now that the group has been pared down to the "final" Sting Rezaie team, my guess is that this team is a bit stronger than any of the teams that played in tournaments this Spring. Not sure if they will move into the top 10 in FBR after King TUT/Puma Cup, but that team should have no problem qualifying for LH D1 and my bet is that they will be a top 10 team at this time next year.
Also, based on PM's I've been getting, it sounds like the Sting Central Cuevas team is actually pretty significantly different from the "Goodman" team that was playing in tournaments this Spring, so I am probably going to remove that team from the FBR at this time, and will re-enter them based on their results in King TUT/Puma Cup.

Agreed. DT Higg is still the #2 team, and will be the best team to challenge FCD in the near future. I think some teams might be closer to DT Higg than they used to be, but they are still a clear #2, in my opinion. Some of this will change over the next year or so, and some of this may shake up a bit based on any last minute surprise defections and signings come Sunday. It will all be played out on the field soon enough. As others have mentioned, come July 1 and soon after, all of these teams will have a clearer picture based on the signed contracts and set rosters. At least for a year!
Look at changes at the top of the '00 and '01 divisions for this last season in LHGCL. Many of the powers at the top are still the same, but there has been some changes and some re-shuffling since their initial QT 1 or 2 years ago.
It will be interesting to see BWGophers analysis of the 6-25-12 FBR rankings compared to the QT seeding, and then the QT results, and eventually the first year of LHGCL.

Whoseurdaddy wrote:Gopher - Would you say the FBR for the 02's looks to be less accurate than it was for the 01's this time last year? Given the Sting player sharing amongst teams and the Texans not playing there own age until just last week and the Andro team just playing. It just seem like there are alot more unknowns than last year.
As a whole, no I don't think the '02 FBR looks less accurate than the '01's at this point last year.
Last year, I had a situation where Fusion Navy '01 was a top 15 team all Spring, while Tx. Spirit North was in the 20's all Spring. In June, a core group of 4-5 of the better Fusion players left Fusion and went to Tx. Spirit. That basically flip-flopped those 2 teams. I didn't adjust the rankings in any way, and sure enough, those were a couple of the bigger misses in FBR last year.
Also, Sting East '01 Guttierrez showed up on the scene from out of no-where after league season ended and tournament play started. I only had Spring tourney play data to go on for this team and they had made their way into the top 30 of the FBR by the time QT rolled around, but ended up qualifying for D1.
Otherwise, FBR hit things pretty spot on last year.
Now let's compare to what's going on with the '02's right now...
The first situation I described above is similar to the current Sting situation. Because of that player movement, FBR may be a little off right now with regards to Sting Rezaie, Sting Parker, and Sting Cuevas. I actually don't think Rezaie is that far off. A good King TUT for them and they will likely move up into the 8-12 range, which I think is probably about correct for them at this point. I think Parker is probably a bit low right now. Not as far out of whack as the Parker parents seem to think I have them, but a few spots too low nonetheless. They got hurt a bit by Higgy (I'll get to them in a bit) having an uncharacteristically weak SoS due to the limited number of games I have for them. I'm sure Higgy will be in one of the top brackets in King TUT, which will boost their SoS, and by default, provide a little bump to both Parker and Andro.
The second situation I described above is similar to Andro and Higgy right now. Higgy is definitely ranked too low right now. However, because Higgy only has 5 games in their history, when they add 4 King TUT games in, those King TUT results can drive a large change in their ranking calculation. If they play 4 games against Top 10 teams in King TUT, and do well in those games, I would expect them jump into the top 10. They may still be a few spots too low, but not completely out of whack like they are at #14.
As far as Andro goes, I actually don't think they are too far off right now and King TUT results will likely dial them in very close to where they should be.
Otherwise, I think the '02 FBR is in pretty good shape right now. There will always be a couple of big surprises come QT, but I'm going to stay with my predictions from last year and say that FBR will be 85-90% accurate at predicting 1st week qualifiers, D1 qualifiers, and total LH qualifiers.
Most teams have had their core in tact since last fall. Adding/subtracting 2-3 players in the scrum leading up to signing day may swing a team up or down 2-3 spots, but for the most part, the teams are what they are, and are what they have been.
