It's us ( The so called parents ) that make the game miserable for the kids. Win or Lose 15 minutes after the game they have forgotten about the game and want to eat, play, sleep,, they just want to be kids!
Amen! While this is quite entertaining to read, it really does a disservice to those little girls out there working their rears off to play competitive soccer. Unfortunately all this negative attention will only make the parents put more pressure on those girls to win because they know all this ridiculesness is going to put these girls under a microscope at QT and next season. Now these 10 yr old girls are going to have to try to live up to all the expectations put out on this forum by parents. I enjoy drinking my coffee and reading this, I just hope the parents on this team will remember they are the reason this team will get a lot of attention that the girls have to live up to. I totally agree with broom...these girls just want to play a game they love, hang out with friends and hope their parents cheer for them and let their coach coach them!

Thats a little too deep there Momma. It's really all in good fun here. Backdraft has the problem with us because we left them in some form or fashion. These girls give 110% no matter what. Thats all we ask for. Their product will show soon the field regardless.mommabear wrote:MrBoomstick wrote:I say we wait and see how theses girls play before anyone passes judgement. OMG, the Viper's dont exist?Whoseurdaddy wrote:I agree with Mommabear and Boomstick. But from what I am reading it looks like the parents enjoy having fun and are not taking it to serious. They seem to be joking around about all the drama the others are trying to stir up. I mean the Vipers! Really!!! I am sure they are enjoying a good laugh at practice about all the posts.

I hope the girls are successful and continue to love the game without any negativity transferring onto them and indirectly affecting them. The goal is for them to stay in the sport and love it for a long time.

Coach, honestly not much drama on this team. Not any more drama than on any other team. We have been quiet on this forum for months until we were attacked by one certain person for posting an OPEN practice. We look at this forum as good fun and recieving important information. We have a great group of children, parents and a coach and will have 16 signing Sunday on July 1st.Coach&Ref wrote:There seems to be an incredible amount of drama surrounding this team. That's really a shame. I know AF and don't have a dog in this fight at all. I just wish the best for the team, especially for one girl in particular who I coached for a couple of years before she had to find a new team since I wasn't coaching anymore.

I wanted to see what all the hype was about this team so I went to there practice location yesterday and this is what I observed.
1. Several teams practicing in this area with kids of all ages and families everywhere with no sign of drama or danger.
2. The team appeared to have 16-18 girls all in matching practice uniforms, well disciplined and paying attention to the coach instructions.
3. The coach seems very knowledgeable and demanded good work ethic.
4. The parents seem to be very involved with the team, I noticed them having a meeting and even scrimmaging with the girls during practice.
5. All in all the team looked liked a normal big club team getting ready to sign.
Evidently their team mascot is Pluto the dog,, I heard several of the dads tell each other they needed " More Pluto "
