The Nicest Complex?
The Nicest Complex?
So where are some other "can't miss fields of dreams" in this country?

wouldn't say this is a complex but these college fields @ Wellesley College outside Boston are incredible. I had never seen grass like that in my life, it felt like you were walking on a cushioned synturf but it was real grass.

This place is in Overland Park, KS. We where there Memorial Day weekend. Nicest facility I have been to. All 12 fields are new synthetic turf. Tourney was run excellent as well. Hope we go back.

Very close in quality to Moss was the field LHGCL used to use on Church Rd. Balls that crossed the South touchline would disappear into a 30-ft. ravine.

Synthetic turf and soccer are two words that should not be mixed. Most players dislike or even hate synthetic turf.

Nice complex and they are talking about building a brand new one just like it. Only problem with the synthetic fields was that in May you could already smell the rubber getting hot enough to melt, I could only imagine what it will be like in August. Good luck with that one. Very nice people and well run though.

USYSA nationals were there a couple of years ago. Temperatures hit in the 100's. Those fields were hotter than that. Synthetic turf is great in the winter. Not so much at the end of July.

Field Marshalled last year at King Tut/PHP. They had to block off the turf fields. Could smell the rubber and see the heat convection waves in the air. At one time, the air temp right above one of the turf fields was 118.

Yeah we were hoping for an "average" summer weekend with 89 degree temps to play in for Overland Park, but we will likely hit record highs instead. I guess we'll see first hand how well their field cooling system and players' bench evaporative cooling fans work. The travel experience should still be fun.
