When will the non ecnl coaches learn? The recruiting landscape has changed.

Not a showcase tourney is it?

need to check on who told you there would be any.. Its not a showcase and it is also opening weekend for college soccer. Even if it was a showcase, the coches are busy..

And Larry, do your research as well.. The college coaches are not so hot on ECNL! not at all.

Not so sure about that comment. The number of coaches at dd's ECNL events tend to disagree with you. Not only the numbers but where they are from too.

My dd just got back from a great visit with the Air Force Academy coach, and recently visited Pepperdine. They both know the value of 'shopping' at the ECNL store!

They are recruiting.. They tell you want you want to hear. I was a college coach for years. still have many friends in the college world. The reallity is that the ECNL is losing more kids every year that expected. the Idea was fantastic and everybody jumped on boared and it has crumbled. Ask any of the local D1 , D2, D3 , NAIA, and NJCCA coaches. They ALL have ECNL Players, DI lake , D2 Lke, D# lake and when they get to the college level you can put their names in a bag, shake it up and some D3 players end up starting over ECNL players, some vice versa... Dont be fooled.. They are selling you on what you want to hear. Hope the best for your DD. But dont pound your chest thinking the ECNL ha the answers. The 4th place team in LH D2 can beat most the teams in ECNL outside NTX.

Sorry coach, gotta go with Gunners and Unc Nutjob here. Don't know about the recruiting side, that pendulum swings every time the wind blows. My dd plays D2, has had opportunities to move up but wants to earn her way to D1 with her team. Anyway, the 4th place D2 might be able to compete with SOME ecnl teams,,,not most. But would probably get spanked on a regular basis by MOST.

is this post satire, like the soccer mom blog? i know there are plenty of LH d2 girls that can play but that is crazy tslk. so you will take the 4th place LH team in any ecnl age group to a socal regional event and win games?
